| Video is the most compelling medium ever invented. But even a single minute of video can take hours to produce and requires expertise across multiple tools. We’re fixing that. We’re a seed-stage tech startup based in SoHo NYC, building a creative video platform. Our customers include companies like Clay and Shopify, and we’re looking for a Narrative Video Editor to help us deliver world-class client content. This is a full-time, in-person, three-month contract role with the potential to convert to a permanent position. What You’ll Do We’re an experienced startup team building the future of creative tooling for video. You’ll join a small, talent-dense team of creatives, designers, and engineers. This role is in-person, 5 days a week, based out of our SoHo office. You’ll be responsible for: Editing both high-end and social marketing videos in both supervised and unsupervised settings. Collaborating with our engineers to improve content workflows and processes. Taking ownership of projects and self-directing when necessary. Qualifications 3+ years of professional video editing experience (social + high-end preferred). Proficiency with Davinci, Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer, Capcut or similar editing software. Light motion graphics skills (After Effects, or similar). You must have US work authorization and be based in NYC. A professional reel or portfolio site is required to be considered for this position. Bonus: Experience with on-set production — lighting, framing, and shooting — to support occasional in-house content needs

AI is changing this forever, and how we create and consume video will look completely different in 2 or 3 years time. We believe that just like Figma captured the ascent of design from outsourced/nice-to-have to need-to-have, there is a space for a tool to capture the ascent of content. So we’re building the creative tool for “content engineers” along with the agentic infrastructure to scale that content to infinity. Because content engineers don’t just create 0 → 1 content, they also build the systems to allow that content to scale and personalize. We’re a small experienced team based in Soho NYC. I haven’t seen anyone else doing video like this with AI.” Varun Anand, Cofounder @ Clay About the role We’ve building with world-class teams at companies like Clay and Shopify, we’re emerging from stealth soon and we’re looking for our first content engineer in-person in NYC. You will be amongst the first content engineers in the world (after Clay, who’s content engineering team live in Yarn). We intend to create and own this category - so this role couldn’t be more important to us. You will have wide creative freedom, and will lead the production of our content, as well as help our customers setup their first video processes and campaigns. You’ll storyboard, script, and produce content that’s both entertaining and educational - you’ll pull from the best of high-end content as well as sprinkling in high-retention content tactics. You’ll be a storyteller first, but you’ll also become an expert at generative workflows and the latest AI models, helping us rewrite the rules on content.
