The VFX Project Manager will be assigned to a key client account to manage the daily production and delivery on automotive CGI projects for 3D models and configurator assets. They will have responsibility for managing the jobs’ progress through the studio from initial client contact and briefing, through to costing, planning, liaising with Artists and clients, and tight scheduling for an accurate and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities: Follow established processes to coordinate and traffic CGI projects through all departments Create estimates and issue timing plans to accompany CGI projects Monitor the progress and completion of projects against published timings, raising and escalating any risk items that may affect delivery Work closely with CGI Studio Manager and CGI Creative Director to ensure efficient and timely delivery of all requirements Lead regular project status meetings with the client and CGI production teams on your projects Accurately define project scopes and generate accurate estimates (establish baseline in first quarter and then set goals for improvement in subsequent quarters/halves) Deliver projects on time, under budget & free of errors Maintain internal & client-facing status reports Manage project files and logs according to outlined standards Actively participate in process enhancement discussions Maintain documentation for SME assignments re: process Ability to manage complex projects with varying timeline Requirements: 3+ years of working experience as a Project Manager/Producer within CGI or the Automotive industry Excellent organizational and time management skills, able to juggle work for multiple projects at once A positive communicator, able to coordinate internal teams positively and confidently Pragmatic and analytically minded, you can adapt to changing deadlines and briefs, predict potential issues and problem solve Experience of working within a project management environment CGI production experience with process and program knowledge is a strong plus PC and Mac knowledge, preferably with some knowledge of Microsoft products (primarily building spreadsheets in Excel) and Adobe Acrobat Creative problem solving abilities Experience using Project Management systems such as Asana, JIRA, and Trello Working knowledge in software such as 3D Model, 3dsMax, Maya, Nuke, Vray, Unreal, and Render (From a PM standpoint) #LI-LV1 #LI-Hybrid Why work here: At WPP Production, you’ll help shape the future of content production at a truly global scale. The Junior VFX Project Manager will support the VFX Project Manager on a key client account, assisting with the daily production and delivery of automotive CGI projects for 3D models and configurator assets. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of projects through the studio, learning the full production lifecycle from initial client briefing through to final delivery, and actively contributing to efficient and timely project completion. Key Responsibilities: Assist the VFX Project Manager in following established processes to coordinate and traffic CGI projects through all departments. Support the VFX Project Manager in the creation of project estimates and timing plans. Actively monitor the progress and completion of projects against published timings, highlighting any potential risks or delays to the VFX Project Manager. Work collaboratively with the VFX Project Manager, CGI Studio Manager, and CGI Creative Director to support efficient and timely delivery of all project requirements. Assist in organizing and documenting client and internal project status meetings, including preparing agendas and capturing meeting notes. Support the VFX Project Manager in accurately defining project scopes and contributing to the generation of project estimates. Help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Maintain and update internal & client-facing status reports under the guidance of the VFX Project Manager. Manage project files and logs according to outlined standards. Actively participate in process enhancement discussions, offering insights from daily project support. Assist in maintaining documentation for process guidelines and Subject Matter Expert (SME) assignments. Develop an understanding of managing projects with varying timelines and complexities. Requirements: 0-2 years of working experience in a project coordination, production assistant, or similar support role, ideally within a creative, CGI, or automotive environment. Relevant internship experience in project management or production is a plus. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks for multiple projects. A positive and clear communicator, able to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients. A proactive and detail-oriented individual, able to adapt to changing deadlines and briefs, with a willingness to learn problem-solving techniques. Familiarity with project management principles and processes, ideally gained through academic studies or prior work experience. An interest in CGI production and a basic understanding of its processes is a strong plus. Proficiency with PC and Mac operating systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for spreadsheets) and Adobe Acrobat. A willingness to learn and apply creative problem-solving approaches. Familiarity with or willingness to learn Project Management systems such as Asana, JIRA, and Trello. A Project Manager is responsible for managing the entire life cycle of a project through the Hogarth Studios (Detroit, UK and NY). Major responsibilities include project ingest, estimating, budget tracking, resourcing talent, developing comprehensive timing plans, and meeting deadlines for various deliverable types (print, out-of-home, point-of-sale, retouching, icons/logos, branding guidelines, etc.) on a day-to-day basis. The Project Manager will serve as the liaison between internal Hogarth teams and agency partners and must have an understanding of design and production execution. The Project Manager will be expected to build trusting relationships, deliver smart solutions to meet client needs, and creatively problem-solve to ensure that experiences with Hogarth are positive and rewarding. Reporting lines and key stakeholders: This role reports to the Client Engagement Supervisor, Detroit. You will work closely with the production teams, partner agencies, and finance. Requirements Understand and follow established processes for managing projects within Hogarth, including initiating jobs, creating detailed estimates, tracking project budgets, and developing comprehensive timing plans Coordinate with Resource Managers to identify and manage resources within Hogarth Maintain clear documentation of job history and effectively capture and communicate action items in order to execute projects on time and within budget Provide estimates within 24 hours (unless otherwise specified), and upon estimate approval, actively ensure that POs are procured and escalate any budget risks in a timely fashion Collaborate with Hogarth finance leads to bill projects and resolve any financial concerns Provide continuous oversight and solutions to manage progress on ever-changing dynamic projects Identify opportunities and develop measures to improve work process and quality of end-product Accurately record time spent on projects Build long-term, trust-based relationships with internal team and partner agency leads, creating positive experiences for all who interact with Hogarth Work independently or collaborate with other Producers as part of a team, ushering projects through the development and production phases (such as CGI, Post Production, Art Production, etc.) KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Possess an understanding of current software technologies including the Microsoft Office Suite. Possess an understanding of current production methods and technologies used to prepare files for output, delivery and storage (design, retouching, print production, etc.) Detailed timeline management, organization, problem solving and management of many different teams/disciplines to execute complex production projects.
