Oversee construction projects, ensure safety and quality standards, manage project timelines and budgets, and coordinate with various stakeholders. | Minimum 5-7 years of construction or related experience, technical knowledge of construction processes, risk management skills, and familiarity with industry standards. | JOB DESCRIPTION The Superintendent plans, organizes and controls company resources and provides leadership, clear direction, and good example to assigned company personnel and craft personnel to achieve customer satisfaction and attainment of schedule, cost, and profit objectives while adhering to safety and quality requirements and company policies. RESPONSIBILITIES • Work with the appointed contractors and sub-contractors to design, build, commission and validate equipment and facilities, supporting the Project Manager/Project Engineer • Responsible for construction and contractor related deliverables • Responsible for execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and requirements specified for the project • Understand and manage the quality control program and review, track, and close observations, as well as provide acceptance criteria and documentation as required. Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure adherence to design and regulatory requirements. • Monitors and provides updates regarding project cost of onsite construction activities • Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan. Provide input for schedule updates. • Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities and accountabilities have been defined and communicated to workers engaged within their area(s) of control • Ensure all workers within their area(s) of control receive appropriate training to perform their work in a safe, legal and competent manner including any Health and Safety and site-specific inductions • Initiate safety, quality and environmental processes within their area(s) of control, including toolbox meetings, inspections, and the identification, assessment and control of risks in accordance with Wood and client requirements • Coordinate supply and delivery of equipment, subcontractors, consumables, temporary facilities, accommodation, and other project-specific requirements, in accordance with client/contract document specifications and in accordance with Wood Policies & Procedures • Works with Engineering disciplines in the detailed design phases to influence the design for optimum constructability • Excellent interpersonal organizational, communication and team building skills • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills • Computer literate and proficient at intermediate level of MS office Experience with industry wide Safe Systems of Work, including established client Permit to Work process • Ability to work with timelines/targets • Display both good judgement and leadership qualities. • Ability to be assertive and drive culture change when required • Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects QUALIFICATIONS • Appropriate level of field construction experience, typically gained through a minimum of 5 years of Life Sciences experience OR trade discipline qualified with a minimum 7 years relevant practical experience • Have a broad and deep technical knowledge of construction discipline and associated processes • Ability to identify risk to delivery and build in mitigation / contingency plans • Substantial experience of interpreting discipline documentation • Sound knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard in Construction (HAZCON) • Substantial knowledge and understanding of technical specifications, codes and standards
Design, commission, and support midstream facility control systems including managing contractors and developing corporate standards. | Requires 5+ years experience in midstream control systems engineering, strong knowledge of natural gas processing, PLC/DCS expertise, and relevant electrical codes. | RESPONSIBILITIES • Support engineering in the design/construction/commissioning of midstream facilities • Participation in technical reviews and provide technical support to other company departments • Support developing corporate standards surrounding control system design, including but not limited to hardware, panel design, software, and HMI layout • Support developing corporate standards and practices associated with the instrumentation for the purpose of controls and monitoring midstream facilities • Manage 3rd party contractors in the implementation of project execution associated with I&E and control systems • Review of 3rd party contractor engineering packages • Responsible for receiving, testing, analyzing, recording, and reporting testing results to appropriate Automation/Measurement/Operations Teams • Effectively communicating with third party vendors and maintaining a good rapport with vendors • Support operations in upgrades and modification to existing facilities • Bachelor's degree in chemical or electrical engineering is preferred. • Travel to field locations10 - 25% • Hybrid schedule working in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Monday-Thursday are 9 hours and Fridays are 4 hours. QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the design, implementation, and optimization of control systems within midstream, (gas, oil, and water), processing facilities • Experience in the commissioning/startup of midstream facilities • Strong communication and people skills • Highly proficient in desktop applications, (spreadsheets, email, word processing applications, etc.) • Experience in determining and performing RTU/EFM, controller, and instrumentation tests needed for analysis and reporting to engineering & operations. • Must have high level of knowledge of natural gas processing and process control • Strong working knowledge of NEC code, API RP 500, applicable regulations surrounding electrical power and instrumentation systems in the Oil &Gas industry • High level of expertise in industry standard control systems, specifically PLC and DCS controllers and software instructions. Experience with Allen Bradley (SLC, CLX) PLCs & Emerson Delta V DCS highly desirable. • Working experience with HMI software including but not limited to Cygnet, Ignition, Wonderware, and RS View/FactoryTalk View. • Experience with implementing control strategies commonly utilized in gas treating/compression facilities, including PID control loops, motor controls, alarm management and advanced controls • Experience reviewing instrumentation, electrical and control system drawings\= • Working experience with instrumentation and control end devices, including but not limited to flow meters, analyzers, level transmitters, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, etc • Working experience with Allen Bradley, ABB Totalflow, Emerson ROC 800, and other RTU/EFM's
