The UX Designer will design user-centered interfaces for secure applications and conduct user research and usability testing. Some of these include, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), staying focused on the assigned tasks, and completing other tasks as assigned.   Key Responsibilities * Design user-centered interfaces for secure web and software applications used by government or defense-related customers * Conduct user research, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and stakeholder interviews within a cleared environment * Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and design documentation to communicate design intent * Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and security, to ensure solutions are feasible, accessible, and aligned with program requirements * Apply industry best practices for usability, accessibility (WCAG 2.1+), and responsive design * Iterate on designs based on qualitative and quantitative research insights * Contribute to and help maintain a design system supporting classified and unclassified products * Ensure all design deliverables comply with security, handling, and data-protection guidelines Required Qualifications * Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) * U.S. Citizenship Required * 3–5+ years of professional UX design experience * Demonstrated experience producing UX artifacts (journey maps, personas, wireframes, prototypes, research summaries) * Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure) * Strong visual design, interaction design, and problem-solving skills * Experience working with Agile or hybrid development teams * Excellent communication skills with the ability to present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences * If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered Preferred Qualifications * Experience supporting federal, DoD, or defense contractor programs * Familiarity with secure development environments and constraints on classified systems * Experience designing complex enterprise, data-heavy, or mission-critical applications * Knowledge of HTML/CSS or front-end frameworks (for collaboration purposes) * Experience contributing to or managing design systems * Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent practical experience Company Summary Join the VSolvit Team! The Software Developer will develop application interface programs (APIs), data migration workflows, and secure data transfer solutions. They will also ensure data quality, security, reliability, and compliance across NIPR and SIPR environments. | Candidates must be U.S. citizens with a Secret Clearance and 3–7+ years of experience in software development or API development. Proficiency in modern programming languages and experience with data warehouse environments are also required. | Job Summary The Software Developer supports the customer, by developing application interface programs (APIs), data migration workflows, and secure data transfer solutions that enable the flow of maintenance data from the data lake to the Jupiter environment. This role ensures data quality, security, reliability, and compliance across NIPR and SIPR environments. The developer will work within a cross-functional team, apply strong problem-solving techniques to diagnose issues, and support continuous improvement in data delivery and system performance. Responsibilities The contractor shall perform the following tasks to support government objectives: Data Integration & Management * Manage datasets exported from the data warehouse, including development of automation routines * Monitor and manage end-to-end data load processes into Jupiter to ensure timeliness and accuracy * Develop and maintain data migration workflows and data quality validation processes * Respond to customer feedback and resolve issues related to data integrity, access, or delivery API & Application Interface Development * Design, develop, test, and maintain application interface programs (APIs) * Ensure APIs meet performance, security, and compliance requirements for both NIPR and SIPR networks Jupiter Environment Development & Administration * Obtain and manage administrative access to the Jupiter environment * Develop and maintain the Maintenance Jupiter environment and Maritime Jupiter cluster * Manage enterprise databases within Jupiter environments * Develop and manage data transmissions to Jupiter using approved transfer protocols Required Qualifications * U.S. Citizenship Required * Secret Clearance * 3–7+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, or API development * Experience with data warehouse environments, ETL/ELT processes, and structured/unstructured data management * Proficiency with modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, Go, or similar) * Experience building and managing APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.) * Familiarity with cloud architectures, clustered environments, or containerized services * Experience working with secure networks, role-based access, and cybersecurity compliance (e.g., DoD RMF) * Ability to troubleshoot complex data flows and system integrations * If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience) * Experience with Navy/DoD systems * Experience with Azure * Experience with Jupiter or similar data platforms * Experience with SIPR/NIPR cross-domain data transfer processes such as Bi-Frost or CDS technologies * Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise database platforms * Knowledge of data governance and metadata management practices * CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification Company Summary Join the VSolvit Team!
