Role Description The Subcontract Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Plymouth, MI. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of subcontracts, including drafting, negotiating, executing, and monitoring subcontract agreements with vendors and partners. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with internal teams to define subcontract requirements, supporting RFP processes, reviewing proposals, and ensuring compliance with company standards, budget, and schedule. The Subcontract Manager will analyze subcontractor performance, identify risks, and recommend improvements to optimize cost, quality, and timelines. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, fostering strong vendor relationships, and contributing to continuous process improvements within the subcontract management function. Qualifications • Experience in Subcontracts and Subcontracts Management, with the ability to oversee the full subcontract lifecycle. • Demonstrated proficiency in RFP processes, including developing requirements and evaluating vendor proposals. • Strong Analytical Skills to assess subcontractor performance, costs, and risks, and to support data-driven decisions. • Effective Proposal Writing skills, including clear, concise, and compliant documentation for internal and external stakeholders. • Relevant experience in telecommunications, construction, or engineering environments is beneficial. • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration capabilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • Proficiency with standard office software and contract management tools. • Ability to work on-site in Plymouth, MI, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
