The Mobile Software Engineer will contribute to building out new features and refining existing ones for the Veriswap app. The role requires collaboration with a small, remote technical team to enhance the user experience in a growing marketplace. | Candidates must have at least 4 years of app development experience using React Native, with a strong focus on mobile development. Additionally, 2 years of experience with Typescript is required, along with a solid understanding of React components and Agile methodologies. | About Veriswap Veriswap is a barter marketplace for trading cards, operating within the $10B+ sports card secondary market. We're focused on creating a new swap economy because we firmly believe that the swaps market is 5x larger than the cash sales market for collectibles. Our mission is to empower collectors by enabling them to trade sports cards anytime, anywhere. Our grand vision is to become the eBay of swapping. Currently, we have 70,000+ users and have escrowed $80m+ in transactions. Our founding team comes from Columbia (ex-IB) and from Brown (ex-Google). Strict requirements: App development using React Native: 4 years+. Past 4 years of work should be mobile-focused. The acceptable ratio between mobile / web experience is 80% mobile, 20% web. Typescript: 2 years+ Embody our core values: Competitive greatness Unimpeachable character Speed is king Nice to have: Experience with GCP, AWS / Azure is acceptable Basics: Understanding of React components, hooks, lifecycle methods, DOM manipulation. Understanding of Agile, Design Patterns, Object-Oriented Design. Experience with REST API's. Hands-on experience with GitHub (pull requests, branches, commits...). Fully remote role, offshore preferred. 4 hours overlap with 8-5pm PST Technical team currently consists of 2 backend devs, 1 web frontend dev, mobile dev, CTO, part-time designer, part-time QA, all offshore We are hiring a RN dev because we need more dev bandwidth We do not work on sprints, we have tickets on an asana board and work on a rolling basis Rest of team currently consists of ~15 members App is in production. Additional resources are needed to build out new features and refine old ones.
