You’ll design, develop, and deliver customer-facing functionality that enables enterprise users to manage and share vast amounts of operational data in real time. What You’ll Do Design and implement a cloud-based, fully managed data plane at the core of Vendia’s real-time distributed data platform. Build solutions that allow enterprises to integrate multi-modal data at scale Implement best practices including automation, CI/CD workflows, testing and quality controls, security, and performance optimization. Influence the vision and roadmap of Vendia’s offerings by collaborating with Product and Design teams. Partner with leadership to balance new features with rapid customer growth and engineering excellence. Minimum Requirements 5+ years of software development experience in distributed systems, with operational responsibility for mission-critical services. Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB) and serverless cloud architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, or equivalents on Azure/GCP). Expert in Python or Rust. Deep knowledge of AWS, including serverless architectures. Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and operational excellence. Strong project planning, communication, and delivery skills. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Startup or fast-paced cloud environment experience. Knowledge of Apache Iceberg, distributed ledger technologies, or LLM / AI agent integrations. You'll be crafting the web applications, SDKs, and APIs that serve as the critical bridge between our customers' data and AI workflows. What You’ll Do • Build AI governance and enforcement features (e.g., access controls, audit trails, transparency, policy enforcement). • Design, implement, and support client-side and server-side architectures, from responsive web apps to CLI & SDKs that connect AI agents with customer data. • Advocate for best practices in full stack engineering: automation, CI/CD workflows, observability, testing, quality, security, and performance. • Collaborate with leadership to shape the engineering roadmap, balancing new AI and MCP features with scalability, governance, and customer adoption. Minimum Requirements • 5+ years of full stack engineering experience, with direct operational responsibility (oncall exposure preferred) in distributed cloud-native systems. • Strong AWS expertise (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena). • Fluency in at least one backend language (TypeScript or Python preferred). • Experience building responsive web apps and backend APIs, using modern frameworks and automation/testing best practices. • Ability to plan projects, communicate clearly, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. • Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Math or equivalent experience. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Must be authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with AI governance, compliance, or responsible AI frameworks. • Background integrating cloud data into LLM-powered applications or AI agent workflows. • Familiarity with data engineering best practices for analytical and operational systems. • Hands-on experience with analytical platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery. • Prior startup experience delivering B2B SaaS or infrastructure services.
