Enterprise Resilience Office (ERO)has the following three primary focus areas. • Business Continuity: Overseeing crisis management and incident response. • Technology Risk Management: Offering risk advisory support to IT and Improving Vanguard's ability to recover from a cyberattack. • Third Party Risk Management: Stewarding the third-party risk lifecycle and reducing extended enterprise risk. ERO has the vision for integrated reporting across these primary focus areas. The Lead Data/Reporting Analyst is vital to accomplish the mission and the vision of our ERO. The Lead Data/Reporting Analyst analyzes data, assesses trends and develops actionable insights and recommendations in support of large strategic business initiatives. Actively develops the analytics community at Vanguard by coaching others internally and participating in external events. Core Responsibilities • Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions, and goals. Brings structure to business requests, gathers & defines the requirements, translates requirements into an analytical project approach, and leads complex projects through completion. Delegates tasks and provides tactical and strategic guidance to peers. Serves as the analytics expert on cross-functional teams for large strategic initiatives. • Define, engage, and involve in developing Data Strategy Vision, Mission, and Roadmap for the Data Analytics team. • Should have a holistic understanding of data warehousing and involve in BI and Data architecture discussion and consultation. • Defining the project's schedule and scope with timely and regular value deliveries, organizing & leading projects, and project status meetings. • Driving and delivering Agile projects that offer outstanding business value to the users. • Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies its quality, accuracy, and reasonableness. • Must turn the raw data into information and insight, which will be used to make business decisions. • Performs analysis of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods. Validates analytical techniques employed by other analysts. • Prepares and delivers expert level visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement. • Develops, owns, and manages recurring analytic or reporting processes. • Actively develops the analytics community at Vanguard by mentoring, coaching, and connecting others with resources and training. Participates and presents during scheduled analytics seminars. • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Excellent data storytelling and presentation (through ppt, etc.) • SQL and Python coding • Expert level proficiency with Tableau. • Should be a Tableau Certified Data Analyst. • Excellent stakeholder management preferably interacting with senior executive leadership. • Nice to have Risk domain knowledge. • Nice to have AWS cloud experience. • Minimum of eight years of related work experience. • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. This role transforms complex data from the Risk 360 Data Lake into compelling stories and actionable insights. The role requires a blend of advanced analytical skills, strategic thinking, and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in advanced analytics, experimentation, proficiency in generating actionable insights, and experience with data visualization tools to create impactful reports and dashboards. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with senior stakeholders and conveying complex data insights in a clear and concise manner. Additionally, the ability to prioritize projects and maximize value delivery is crucial.Key responsibilities include designing executive-level dashboards, delivering advanced analytics, and fostering a data-driven culture through strong stakeholder engagement and data governance. As a Data Analytics Lead in GR&S D&A, you will • Drive strategic initiatives that elevate enterprise risk analytics capabilities and align with GR&S objectives. • Optimize data governance to ensure integrity, compliance, and consistency across risk reporting platforms and analytics ecosystems. • Embed analytics into risk appetite frameworks and resiliency planning to strengthen enterprise risk management. • Use advanced analytics to detect latent and emerging risks by correlating internal signals with external trends and develop predictive models to identify emerging risk patterns. • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by translating complex data into actionable narratives for decision-making. Manage and oversee project teams and activities, ensuring objectives are met on time and within scope, while maintaining stakeholder relationships. | Requires at least five years of related work experience, project management experience, and a related undergraduate degree; technical or financial services experience is preferred. | Core Responsibilities 1. Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures. 2. Manages crew and project activities for technology-related projects. Drives all phases of the project lifecycle from inception through implementation while ensuring that business objectives are delivered with high quality and within targeted timeframes. 3. Oversees all project-level communication and change management activities in support of all project workstreams. Triages capacity, complexity, and scope of project messaging and delivery of all communications. 4. Builds and maintains relationships across sub-divisions and both internal and external partners to support project initiatives. Develops strong relationships with project leadership and workstream leads. Influences key decisions across stakeholders. 5. Assists team with the identification, evaluation, and resolution of potential obstacles which may have an impact on the completion of technology projects or communications.
