Default Servicing at Valon The Default Servicing team manages all default-related processes and resolves mortgage loans that are in default. The team is crucial to Valon and the broader mortgage ecosystem, as it helps prevent foreclosures and minimize losses for investors. About the Role We’re looking for a strategic and operationally-minded Director of Claims / Property Preservation & Dispositions, default and credit bureau reporting, and invoice management for owning and scaling our investor claims, property preservation, and post-foreclosure operations. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of investor claims filing (FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC), property preservation, conveyance, and REO dispositions. You’ll lead a growing team, build out scalable processes, and collaborate cross-functionally with Compliance, Technology, and Investor Relations to drive exceptional performance and compliance across the board. Responsibilities Own end-to-end oversight of claims filing, property preservation, conveyance, invoice management, credit bureau reporting, and year-end reporting, and REO asset management operations. Develop and execute a strategy to streamline and scale workflows in line with investor, insurer, and regulatory requirements. Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams with a strong focus on accountability, efficiency, and compliance. Partner with Product and Engineering to drive automation and technology-driven solutions that reduce manual work and increase accuracy. Serve as SME for all things related to conveyance timelines, claims, property preservation processes, and investor reimbursement protocols. Maintain audit readiness and ensure timely, accurate claims submissions to maximize recoverability and minimize curtailments. Monitor key metrics (conveyance timelines, claim recovery rates, REO timelines/costs, etc.) and report on performance to leadership and investors. Stay current with evolving GSE/insurer guidelines and industry best practices. Ideal Background 8+ years of experience in mortgage servicing with deep expertise in claims (FHA/VA/USDA/GSE), property preservation, and REO management. 3+ years in a leadership role with proven experience building teams and scaling operations. Strong knowledge of investor/insurer guidelines, timelines, and recovery protocols. Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver process improvements and system enhancements. Data-driven decision-maker with a knack for identifying risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation. Investor Reporting at Valon The Investor Reporting team is responsible for delivering accurate, timely reporting and remittance of mortgage data and funds to our agency and non-agency investors. About the Role As a Sr. Investor Reporting Analyst, you will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for FNMA and/or FHLMC investor reporting. About the Role We are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to take ownership of our external client reporting pipelines. This crucial role involves managing the layer of our data platform responsible for transforming raw data into reliable, structured, and performant assets for reporting, analysis, and AI initiatives.
