Supports and manages small design and construction projects, including evaluation, planning, and oversight from inception to delivery. | Requires a degree in architecture, construction management, or engineering, with knowledge of construction industry, project management, and technical document interpretation. | FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE: Supports and manages small design and construction projects (e.g., construction management, real estate, electrical engineering, HVAC) for Facilities initiatives from inception through to delivery. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides architect/engineering consulting services, providing technical expertise in the evaluation of problems and the development of alternatives for construction projects. 2. Participates in the analysis, evaluation, conduct of feasibility studies, cost estimates, and resolution of technical problems associated with the plan, design, and development of engineering systems and equipment that support construction projects. 3. Prepares and develops justification for engineering proposals, including identification of alternatives for facilities, systems, and equipment for review of management. 4. Evaluates technical, cost, and economic data to identify alternatives for support of mail processing. 5. Participates in project management activities affiliated with the design, construction, testing, start-up, and operation of facilities, systems, and/or equipment. 6. Participates in the preparation of requests for proposal, including development of drawings and specifications, and upon receipt, participates in the evaluation of bids for technical accuracy and compliance with contract requirements. 7. Attends preconstruction and final acceptance meetings, conducts on-site inspections during the various project phases, and reports on noncompliance with contract requirements. 8. Works with architects, engineers, contractors, construction representatives, and others involved in design and construction of postal facilities. REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret design and construction documents and technical reports. • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with managers, peers, subordinates, and contractors in the field. • Knowledge of the construction industry as it relates to the planning processes for design and construction of new facilities. • Ability to oversee and coordinate projects, including planning, organizing, and assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing technical guidance and feedback. • Ability to work with, interpret and apply National and Local Codes (e.g., OSHA, building). • Knowledge of architecture, engineering, and building construction sufficient to review and inspect repair and alteration work and new construction of facilities. • Knowledge of facility contracting procedures, cost estimating, job site safety, project scheduling, and quality control procedures for facilities. • EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Possession of a bachelor's or graduate degree from an accredited college or university in architecture; construction management; or civil, structural, electrical, or mechanical engineering; or possession of current state registration as an architect or engineer.

Design, code, test, debug, and maintain computer programs and systems, participate in project planning, and ensure adherence to development standards and data security. | Experience in software development with Java and multiple related technologies, knowledge of SDLC, database technologies, ability to define requirements and design specifications, and AI/ML experience. | Please note: this is a FULL-TIME REMOTE POSITION Schedule: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:50 FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE: Work alone or as part of a team on simple to complex projects, assisting or as lead analyst/programmer. Analyze, evaluate, and develop, new and existing, computer programs, systems, and procedures used to process data. Update programs and systems documentation and instructions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Participate in the project planning process that determines programming and hardware needs. Assist or lead in preparing programming specifications and in developing coding logic. Prepare charts, diagrams, and other documentation as needed. 2. Design, code, test, and debug computer programs, independently or as part of a team, using computer languages identified and available in the Infrastructure Tool Kit (ITK). 3. Oversee the consistent utilization of USPS development standards, procedures and processes. Ensure systems compatibility. Follow data security procedures and identify potential data security risks. 4. Maintain contact, as designated, with the team leader, customers, contractors, and equipment vendors to monitor progress and coordinate varied project stages. 5. Maintain computer programs and systems. Revise and update computer programs, procedures, and systems; including rewrites to the systems documentation and instructions as necessary. 6. Performs other job-related tasks as assigned or required to support the duties outlined above. SUPERVISION: Manager or supervisor of unit to which assigned. REQUIREMENTS: This section is composed of Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) which are required to satisfactorily perform the tasks of the position. Applicants must demonstrate that they possess a sufficient level of each KSA, to include at least minimum competency for senior-qualified positions to enable them to perform these tasks satisfactorily. Applicants demonstrate these levels by describing examples of experience, education, or training, any of which may be non-postal. Ratings are based on the demonstration of the level of possession of each of the KSAs. Failure to demonstrate any KSA is disqualifying. 1. Knowledge of application development, such as WEB, batch, and object-oriented. 2. Knowledge of industry-standard software development life cycle processes. 3. Ability to use relational database technology. 4. Experience defining requirements and design specifications, creating conceptual, logical and physical design using case models, component models, and physical models. 5. Experience writing, editing and updating programs in support of software applications, using one or more programming languages such as JAVA, SQL, COBOL and/or Visual Basic. 6. Experience testing, debugging and repairing programs sufficient to meet software specifications. 7. Experience conducting systems tests and establishing test plans. 8. Ability to solve problems using analytical skills. 9. Ability to work without immediate supervision. 10. Ability to work with others in a team environment. 11. Ability to read and understand job-related materials such as instructions, specifications, references and manuals. 12. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Experience utilizing Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning include problem definition, algorithm used and what other algorithms were considered, and how the system performed and how the system was maintained. 2. Work experience as a software developer/engineer using Java and two or more of the following: JavaScript (including React JS or Angular JS), jQuery, AI/ML, Android/iOS development, Spring Framework. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must be physically able to perform efficiently the duties of the position.
