Manage and support SAP and other business applications, oversee projects, vendor relations, and system integrations. | 8+ years of enterprise application experience, strong understanding of business processes, and experience supporting multi-site operations. | Description Department: Information Technology Hiring Manager: Director of Information Technology FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt Working Status: Full Time Job Summary UBE Corporation America Inc. is looking for a highly skilled and motivated IT Business Applications Lead to manage UBE’s SAP and non-ERP application landscape across the US. This role demands hands-on expertise throughout the full solution lifecycle—including system configuration, user testing, and documentation—while working closely with global and regional IT teams and third-party vendors. The successful candidate will ensure seamless integration, ongoing maintenance, and continuous enhancement of business applications to effectively support both operational and strategic objectives. Requirements JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee service areas under your responsibility, including SAP and all other business applications (e.g., SuccessFactors, IBP, Digital solutions) in partnership with 3rd party vendor support teams ensuring application’s availability, reliability, and alignment with business needs. • Manage and continuously improve the ticketing process, ensuring effective organization and delivery of 1st and 2nd level support services for business applications. • Oversee and coordinate business change requests and projects related to business applications, driving continuous improvement and providing robust technical solutions to support requested changes. • Act as the project manager for technology transformation projects within the business applications domain, ensuring successful delivery on time, scope, and budget. • Lead vendor management activities, including contract negotiation, SLA management, performance monitoring, and escalation handling. • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, and drive improvements that maximize operational efficiency. • Coordinate application upgrades, patches, and configuration changes while minimizing disruption to business operations. • Oversee incident and problem management processes, ensuring timely and effective resolution of application issues. • Ensure compliance with IT governance, security policies, and regulatory requirements related to business applications. • Facilitate integration between SAP and other enterprise systems, ensuring data consistency and process automation. • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, processes, vendor agreements, and support procedures. • Support the IT Director in the preparation of the IT Strategy Plan and exercise control over the IT budget and expenses related to business applications. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise level application implementation and support. • Strong understanding of business process alignment with digital tools and user-centric design. • Proven ability to manage UATs, troubleshoot system issues, and collaborate cross-functionally. • Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills. • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with or supporting SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI/CO) is a strong plus. • Exposure to industrial manufacturing or chemicals sector IT landscapes. • Ability to engage in solution mapping, integration tuning, and collaborative execution with both internal and external partners. • Familiarity with documentation for system interfaces, process mapping, and change logs. • Bi-lingual capabilities with English + Spanish or Japanese.
