Our client, a leading medical publishing company is hiring an Editorial Director for Cardiology Content for a 2+ months contracting assignment. Must have skills: · This position requires knowledge of the field of cardiology; solid journalistic skills and a proven ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with writers and editors to produce high-quality content · This person will have experience producing content under rigorous deadlines in a virtual environment · Curiosity, a strong news sense, and the ability to identify compelling content ideas are strongly preferred · At least 8 years of experience editing and assigning content in health, medicine or science topics · Experience assigning well-defined story ideas for freelance writers · Ability to edit stories for accuracy, balance, timeliness, and relevance · Ability to accurately and effectively translate medical jargon to resonate with a medical audience · A bachelor's degree in journalism, English or the sciences, or in a field relevant to this position Pay: $73-74/hour W2 Location: Remote Responsibilities: · Will be responsible for assigning and editing medical news content related to cardiology for an audience of physicians and healthcare professionals · Brainstorm fresh and compelling content ideas for the field of cardiology · Assign, and edit cardiology articles that appeal to a well-versed audience of cardiologists and other cardiology-related specialties · Work closely with marketing to create interesting newsletters and promotional content · Work with our operations teams to get content published promptly · Support the Cardiology and Campaigns teams on special projects · Proven ability to identify freelance talent and to nurture and strengthen a corps of top-notch freelance writers Job Type: Contract Pay: $73.00 - $74.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance Work Location: Remote
