What you will do: * Provide technical expertise and guidance to federal clients on Red Hat solutions, including OpenShift, Ansible, Satellite, and RHEL. * Design, implement, and optimize containerized and virtualized environments using OpenShift and OpenStack. * Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible and related tools to improve system performance and reliability. * Collaborate with client teams to identify business needs and develop innovative Red Hat-based solutions. * Lead the configuration and management of Red Hat systems, ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices. * Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes to accelerate deployment and delivery. * Provide knowledge transfer and training to client teams to support ongoing operational success. * Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Red Hat products and solutions. * Engage with Red Hat and Trilogy Innovations teams to stay updated on new product features and industry trends. Who you are The Senior Elastic Stack Consultant candidate will possess a strong technical background with Elastic capabilities, proven problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is classified as casual employment due to the temporary nature of the support required for specific projects. The consultant will provide on-site assistance at customer locations, contributing to various initiatives on a short-term basis. The Senior Elastic Stack Consultant will perform Elastic Software and Cloud service offerings including Enterprise Search and/or Security. Common tasks may include operational support, implementation and deployment services, installation and configuration, pipeline/ingestion recommendations and patterns, data modeling and mapping, visualization/dashboard creation, and emulation of threat techniques to trigger SIEM detections. Additionally, the consultant is responsible for direct and consistent communication with customer personnel. What you will do The consultant will also support observability and application performance initiatives, including but not limited to: •    Installation, configuration, upgrade, and migration of Elastic APM environments •    Integration and configuration of OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing and metrics collection •    Conducting expert technical reviews of existing Elastic and observability architectures, configurations, and data pipelines •    Performance tuning and optimization of Elastic clusters, APM agents, dashboards, and ingestion pipelines •    Providing best-practice recommendations for monitoring strategy, instrumentation, scalability, and reliability •    Troubleshooting performance bottlenecks across applications, infrastructure, and data flows Reporting is a critical aspect of any temporary project. The Senior Elastic Stack Consultant will be responsible for delivering a Weekly Engagement Activity Report, Final and Interim Consulting Engagement Reports, and other assigned project deliverables. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team, while taking part in a multi-year initiative to modernize our federal customer's large-scale IT systems. This role requires at least a Secret Security Clearance, and primary work location is remote. Responsibilities: • Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. • Develops microservices in a cloud native environment. • Operates an enterprise scale production system. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves system issues. • Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions. • Analyzes and designs databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. • Applies principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. High-level objectives include, but are not limited to the following: • Migrate all current-system functionality from the mainframes and operate within a cloud-based environment (AWS GovCloud) • Transition investigative search to Elasticsearch, providing a faster response and report creation time for law enforcement. • Build new services to follow a microservices architecture and run within containers using the OpenShift platform. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of work experience or Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience. • Active Tier 3 Secret clearance. • Experience working within Agile Framework. • Proficient with Java Object-Oriented Programming. • Experience with Kubernetes and containers; automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. • Experience with Cloud-native architectures. • Experience with event-driven architectures. • Experience with one or more of the following: • Apache Kafka • Pub/Sub (Publish, subscribe) • Streaming • Event sources • Running GitOps (GitLab, Git, Bitbucket, ArgoCD, Tecton, etc.) within version control tools. • Familiarity with Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for version control management.
