Who you are The Senior Elastic Stack Consultant candidate will possess a strong technical background with Elastic capabilities, proven problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is classified as casual employment due to the temporary nature of the support required for specific projects. The consultant will provide on-site assistance at customer locations, contributing to various initiatives on a short-term basis. The Senior Elastic Stack Consultant will perform Elastic Software and Cloud service offerings including Enterprise Search and/or Security. Common tasks may include operational support, implementation and deployment services, installation and configuration, pipeline/ingestion recommendations and patterns, data modeling and mapping, visualization/dashboard creation, and emulation of threat techniques to trigger SIEM detections. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team, while taking part in a multi-year initiative to modernize our federal customer's large-scale IT systems. This role requires at least a Secret Security Clearance, and primary work location is remote. Responsibilities: • Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. • Develops microservices in a cloud native environment. • Operates an enterprise scale production system. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves system issues. • Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions. • Analyzes and designs databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. • Applies principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. High-level objectives include, but are not limited to the following: • Migrate all current-system functionality from the mainframes and operate within a cloud-based environment (AWS GovCloud) • Transition investigative search to Elasticsearch, providing a faster response and report creation time for law enforcement. • Build new services to follow a microservices architecture and run within containers using the OpenShift platform.
