Work directly with parents and teens to implement social-emotional skills and resilience-building strategies. | Experience in coaching, parenting, or related fields, with a BA in psychology, education, or health, and a health/wellness coaching certification preferred. | This is an incredible opportunity to join our rapidly growing team as a parenting coach and/or as a teen coach. We are a team of folks passionate about helping parents build the skills and confidence to empower their children thrive. We also help teens to increase well-being by learning and using social-emotional skills. • TrekWise is a hybrid telehealth/in-person program to empower parents to be their children’s best help when it comes to building resilience and self-confidence, tackling anxiety, thriving through stress, and filling lives with stuff that’s interesting enough to get children to put down the devices. • We only work in partnership with pediatric practices so families can use their insurance to cover the service and also have an integrated team caring for them. • You will receive in-depth training as well as ongoing learning and weekly supervision by psychologists and psychiatrists. Responsibilities • You will be responsible for working directly with parents who are concerned about their children's behavioral health and want help learning how to raise their children to be resilient, happy, and confident adults. • You will interact with parent(s) over video and voice calls and help them implement the principles in the TrekWise curriculum in a way that works for their family. • You will also be working directly with teens. • You will have a case load of up to 35 families. • Part-time positions - 12 - 20 hours/week. Qualifications • The ideal candidate will have many of the following: experience as a parent (or grandparent!), warmth, good intuition about people, a health and wellness coaching certification, a background in teaching or coaching (sports, classroom, yoga, Sunday school . . . ), an interest in psychology, a strong desire to empower families to raise fabulous kids - -while enjoying the journey as well! • We are especially interested in people who have raised their own children and find themselves with some extra time on their hands, but will consider people of all ages and backgrounds. • We are also especially interested in people with prior experience as a SPORTS COACH. • Must have a BA, a plus if it is in a psychology, education or health-related field. MA is a nice plus. No licensure required. • Compensation: $40/billable hour as a contractor plus paid professional development hours every month. Bonus plan can increase compensation to $48/hour for high performing team members!
