For more information, please visit THE.TEAM. Job Overview The Account Director, Athlete Exchange, at THE·TEAM leads all branded projects from pre-sale to post sale. The main point of contact for our clients, this role oversees project pitching, budgeting, production schedules and logistics and all client communications to ensure we are creating high quality work on time and within budget. This role is hybrid 3x/week from our Los Angeles Office What You'll Do This role is a client-facing account lead responsible for owning the end-to-end execution of branded content projects, with a strong foundation in production. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high-quality delivery while driving operational excellence across all phases of a project. • Own and lead client relationships across projects, serving as the primary point of contact from pre-sale through final delivery • Drive the development of proposals, including shaping client needs into strategic recommendations, creative direction, and clear, actionable scopes of work • Partner closely with creative and production teams to develop concepts and execute campaigns that meet both brand objectives and production realities • Oversee all aspects of project execution, including timelines, budgets, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring work is delivered on time and within scope • Assist with production oversight, collaborating with internal teams on planning, logistics, and execution to ensure a seamless production process • Ensure all deliverables meet client expectations and brand standards, proactively addressing challenges and maintaining clear communication throughout • Support business development efforts by contributing to pitch work and identifying opportunities for organic account growth • Manage and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on project execution and supporting their professional development What We're Looking For • 6+ years’ experience in account management with a production expertise • Experience developing social media, digital and commercial marketing campaigns • An in-depth knowledge of sports and athletes, across the professional sports landscape • Natural leadership abilities • Excellent communication skills: persuasive, strategic, proactive, diplomatic • Experience managing and mentoring others • Uncanny attention to detail • Rockstar presentation skills. A master of Keynote and PowerPoint and the ability to take creative concepts and bring them to life in presentation format. • Commitment to excellence — working nonstandard hours when necessary, anticipating issues and communicating with diplomacy, representing both our client and talent partners with industry leading professionalism Base salary range: $90-100k, plus bonus potential if applicable for role. Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role. Assists in managing day-to-day business, campaigns, and brand development for represented talent. Helps source, manage, and execute digital partnerships, brand outreach, and new talent opportunities in collaboration with senior team members and agency divisions. What You'll Do • Support recruitment and representation of digital talent across a variety of passion areas, including but not limited to gaming, film, sports, health and wellness, fashion, family, and beauty. • Assist in sourcing, tracking, and servicing digital partnerships for represented talent. • Maintain and update internal systems to track deals, campaigns, and opportunities. • Provide coordination and logistical support for productions, meetings, and activations related to talent brand partnerships. • Prepare regular updates for senior team members on client activities and workstreams. • Partner with internal legal, accounting, and operations teams to help ensure proper deal execution and payment. • Monitor trends in the creator economy, including emerging platforms, talent, and partnership opportunities. • Build and maintain relationships with external brands and partners, as directed by senior team members. • Collaborate closely with agents and cross-functional teams to support digital marketing and talent opportunities. • Assist the broader team in achieving department goals. • Stay informed on the latest social media and digital creator trends. What We're Looking For • Strong knowledge of social media platforms from both a business and consumer perspective (X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook). • Familiarity with social media monitoring metrics and digital campaign performance. • 1–3 years of relevant experience in talent management, influencer marketing, or digital media (agency experience preferred). • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional client-facing demeanor. • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience. • Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments. • High emotional intelligence and discretion when handling confidential information. • Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends as needed. • Willingness and ability to travel if needed. • Eagerness to thrive in a fast-paced, growing talent agency environment.
