Lead Programs That Change Communities. Seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs across Michigan. For more than 26 years, Company has partnered with utility companies to design and manage innovative energy efficiency programs that help families and businesses reduce energy costs while strengthening local communities through equitable economic development. What You'll Do As the Program Manager, you'll oversee the successful execution of energy efficiency programs while serving as the primary liaison between Company, utility clients, community partners, and internal teams. You'll be responsible for driving program performance, managing staff, monitoring budgets and KPIs, and ensuring outstanding client satisfaction. Responsibilities include: • Lead day-to-day operations of utility energy efficiency programs • Manage client relationships and serve as the primary program contact • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop program staff • Monitor program performance, budgets, schedules, and key performance indicators (KPIs) • Develop strategies to increase customer participation and program engagement • Oversee QA/QC processes and continuous program improvement initiatives • Coordinate marketing, outreach, communications, and promotional activities • Collaborate with community organizations, contractors, educational institutions, and utility partners • Prepare client reports, presentations, invoices, and performance updates • Ensure program compliance with contractual requirements and quality standards • Represent Organization at community events, stakeholder meetings, and industry conferences What We're Looking For Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) • 3+ years of Program Management experience • 2+ years of energy efficiency or utility program experience • 2+ years of leadership or team management experience • Experience managing client relationships and multiple stakeholders • Strong project management and organizational skills • Experience tracking budgets, KPIs, and program performance • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) • Valid driver's license • Ability to travel locally up to 20% Preferred Qualifications • Master's degree • PMP certification • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) • Experience with Salesforce or CRM platforms • Experience in community development, workforce development, public sector programs, sustainability, or utility energy efficiency programs Ideal Background We're especially interested in candidates with experience in: • Energy Efficiency Programs • Utility Program Management • Sustainability Programs • Clean Energy Initiatives • Workforce Development • Community Engagement • Client Success • Operations Management • Project Management • Program Operations • Utility Account Management • Government or Public Sector Programs We believe energy efficiency is more than saving energy—it's about creating opportunity, strengthening communities, and improving lives.
