The Davey Tree Expert Company is the North American leader in residential tree care, utility right-of-way management, commercial landscape services, and urban forestry / natural resource consulting with operations throughout the US and Canada. The Davey Institute supports Davey’s North American operations through research and development, environmental programs, technical support, and education and training. Job Duties • Process and log in plant, soil, and insect samples. • Lab organization and cleaning. • Lab equipment maintenance. • Assist with diagnosing insect and disease problems of plants. • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail. Qualifications Qualifications: Enrollment or future enrollment in a relevant college program such as biology, botany, forestry, entomology, environmental science, horticulture, plant pathology, or related field. Salary Range 110-130k with bounus schedule Job Duties What You’ll Do: • Educate residential and commercial customers on the needs of their trees. • Provide customers with estimates based on their needs. • Develop and update sales strategies and performance of team • Create and build relationships with new and existing clients. • Set up, supervise, and train crew members, sales team, and office staff. • As District Manager you give direction to the team.
