(TDSI) is seeking a Marketing Operations & Events Partner to lead the company’s trade show and customer event program. Reporting to the Manager of Marketing and Communications out of Clarksburg, MD, this role oversees event execution and associated marketing operations which include budget management, vendor coordination, financial oversight, and event collateral support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, financially disciplined, and effective in cross-functional environments, ensuring professional, compliant customer engagements within the defense and security industry. Responsibilities • Develop and manage the annual trade show and events strategy and master calendar aligned with company priorities. • Lead end-to-end execution of trade shows, customer demonstrations, executive briefings, and internal events. • Oversee event logistics, vendor coordination, exhibit assets, and on-site support to ensure professional, compliant execution. • Partner with business development, product management, and engineering to align event messaging, demonstrations, customer meetings, presentation materials and customer engagement strategies. • Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. • Administer and reconcile multi-business-unit event budgets, overseeing purchase orders, invoicing, expenditure tracking, and internal cost allocation to ensure financial transparency, budget adherence, accurate forecasting, and compliance with finance policies. • Establish and manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to ensure quality and cost efficiency. • Oversee development, maintenance, and deployment of event-related marketing collateral and demonstration assets. • Maintain a centralized repository for event assets, managing inventory and deployment of static models, demonstration units, and technical equipment. • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, cybersecurity requirements, trade regulations (ITAR/EAR), and security protocols related to events and equipment. • Utilize project management tools and processes to track timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination. • Serve as the primary liaison between marketing, finance, business units, and executive leadership to ensure alignment and operational excellence. • Support related marketing and communications projects as needed. This position designs, leads and implements the strategic business capture plan for the Domestic, U.S. Army DOD business initiatives under Thales Defense and Security, Inc. (TDSI). The position reports to the Senior Director of Business Development for DOD within the Communications Systems business line out of Clarksburg, MD. This role can be based out of either Aberdeen, MD or Clarksburg, MD and supports both the tactical communications and SATCOM business segments. Travel to customer and operator sites, affiliate Thales offices, and conferences is required. The annualized pay range for this role is $168,986-$215,927 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 20%.
