Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with a commitment to the campaign's mission. | Talarico for Texas is hiring a Campaign Events & Volunteer Coordinator to join James Talarico’s US Senate campaign. We are seeking a Coordinator to anchor our public events program, ensuring smooth logistics, energized volunteers, and engaging experiences for supporters. The Coordinator will also assist with Organizing Team functions and general volunteer management. Responsibilities Volunteer Management: Train, and manage volunteers; ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations. Advance Work: Support event preparation; coordinate logistics including check-in tables, signage, and crowd management. Event Leadership: Serve as the on-site point person for volunteers, keeping the program on schedule and solving problems quickly. Setup & Breakdown: Assist with physical setup and teardown of campaign materials, staging, and event infrastructure as needed Emcee Role: Act as event emcee, welcoming attendees, introducing speakers, and energizing the crowd. Training: Deliver volunteer trainings to ensure consistency and professionalism. Quality Control: Ensure events project the campaign’s values and message, and that every attendee has a positive experience that encourages future involvement. Organizing Program Support: Assist the organizing team with voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and engagement efforts. Qualifications Experience managing volunteers, events, or grassroots programs on campaigns, in community organizations, or in other high-energy settings. Strong public speaking skills; comfortable addressing and energizing large crowds as an emcee. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; calm under pressure and quick on their feet. Willingness to pitch in on logistics, from setup to teardown, with a “no task too small” mindset. Strong interpersonal skills; able to build relationships with volunteers, staff, and community members. Flexible schedule and willingness to travel frequently, including evenings and weekends. This is a full-time, paid position perfect for someone who is confident in leading organizing efforts in key parts of the state, and training and supporting staff and volunteers to deliver the voter contact needed to win. Responsibilities Regional Leadership: Manage the organizing program in the RGV, including hiring, training, and supervising field organizers and fellows. Volunteer Recruitment & Retention: Build a strong, sustainable volunteer base across your region by recruiting new supporters, identifying leaders, and developing volunteer-led teams. Direct Voter Contact: Drive execution of canvassing and other regional organizing to meet ambitious voter contact goals. Training & Development: Train organizers, fellows, and volunteers on best practices for voter contact, relational organizing, and leadership development. Partnerships & Coalitions: Cultivate relationships with local leaders, organizations, labor unions, and allied campaigns to strengthen the campaign’s presence and expand reach. Event Management: Plan and execute grassroots events and regional mobilizations, ensuring logistics and turnout goals are met. Data & Accountability: Track field metrics in VAN and other systems. Collaboration: Work closely with the distributed organizing, political, and digital teams to integrate regional work into the statewide strategy.
