This role involves developing innovative strategies to reduce mechanical downtime, enhance production line performance, and maintain uninterrupted product flow. The Maintenance Superintendent's leadership will have a direct impact on operational efficiency and shape the future of the plant, implementing advanced maintenance systems such as Preventive and Predictive Maintenance and TPM. Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Maintenance Superintendent: • Manage maintenance systems to optimize performance and reduce costs. • Implement Root Cause Analysis, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, and TPM for maximum plant capacity. • Schedule work, minimize downtime, and enhance efficiency to improve plant performance while reducing expenses. • Lead and motivate the maintenance team through effective planning and organization to ensure smooth task execution. • Drive plant safety initiatives by enforcing policies, promoting a safety culture, and complying with regulations. • Solve operational challenges and provide quick solutions to equipment issues to maintain operational continuity. • Collaborate with the Plant Engineer to implement a top-notch Preventive and Predictive Maintenance program. • Analyze program data to enhance maintenance processes and ensure equipment reliability. • Monitor Key Performance Indicators to track maintenance performance and drive continuous improvement. Education & Experience Requirements of the Maintenance Superintendent: • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university • 3+ years’ relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. • Experience in food manufacturing and maintenance supervision. • Advanced technical skills in mechanical / electrical fields, including PLCs and instrumentation. • Proficiency in maintenance management systems, preventive/predictive maintenance, and TPM. • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP. • Flexibility to work long hours and weekends. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. • Strong interpersonal and technical skills with a teamwork-oriented mindset.
