Accurately read blueprints, measure and cut materials, operate forklift, stage materials, inspect products, and maintain safety and cleanliness. | Requires forklift experience and certification, blueprint reading skills, manufacturing or warehouse experience, physical stamina, and attention to detail. | Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Manufacturing Material Handler / Cut-to-Size Technician to join our production team. This position is responsible for accurately reading blueprints, measuring materials to specification, operating a sit-down forklift to transport materials, and preparing products for cutting based on exact measurements. Key Responsibilities: • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine material requirements and cutting specifications • Use a tape measure with high accuracy to mark and verify dimensions • Safely operate a sit-down forklift to transport raw materials or finished products within the facility • Stage materials in the warehouse and production area for cutting • Cut materials to specified measurements using appropriate tools and equipment • Inspect final products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications • Maintain accurate records of materials handled and work completed • Follow all safety procedures and participate in regular safety training • Keep work areas clean, organized, and in compliance with company housekeeping standards Requirements: • Proven ability to accurately read blueprints and measure with a tape measure • Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience (sit-down forklift); valid forklift certification preferred • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in material handling or cut-to-size operations • Familiarity with basic cutting equipment or saws • Knowledge of inventory systems or basic computer skills Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire Staff DFW is seeking talented, reliable individuals
