About the Role: The Process Writer position requires focused attention to details of high complexity products while establishing and/or optimizing the manufacturing assembly process through the writing of associated work instructions. The candidate will develop detailed Manufacturing Work Instructions, routings, visual aids, SOPs, procedures, and manufacturing support documentation from pictures, 3D models, engineering prints, Bill Of Materials, ECOs, schematics, wire diagrams, etc. to be used in the creation of complex electro-mechanical assemblies. What You Will Do: • Convert existing work instructions to a new software format. • Implements all changes from ECN’s, into a new revision work instruction. • Create new work instruction using assembly drawings, photos, procedures, and Bill of materials. • Prepare process flows in ERP and work instruction. • Develops and ensures manufacturing processes that are clear, robust, error-free/proofread, and repeatable. • Supports New Product Introduction (NPI) activities. • Supports existing manufacturing activities to improve quality, cost, and delivery. • Assure that all required customer, industry, and company work standards are properly documented. • Interfaces with the Manufacturing Team, Engineering, Quality, and Customers. • Clearly demonstrate flexibility and self-discipline to plan/accomplish objectives while multi-tasking and prioritizing. • Support all Global sites with anything related to work instruction creation, support, and process conversions. • Coordinate multiple disciplines/departments to gather all required process step. • Update and create SOP’s to improve Process Writing activities. What You Need: • Associate’s Engineering degree and 3 years in electronics manufacturing or a minimum of 6 years in a Manufacturing Process Writer role. • Must have strong communication and organization skills, written and verbal. • Must possess a solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes and exposure to various component types (SMT, Through-Hole, Press Fit, Wire Harness, Sheet Metals, etc.). • Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office - Some version of work instruction software (VKS, ProPlanner preferred) - ERP system experience (Glovia preferred) - Adobe Acrobat (Various Image editing software) - Autodesk or equivalent CAD/3D Model software • This is a remote position that will include some US and International travel. Spanish and/or Chinese language skills are a plus. • This position offers a remote work model. Our good faith estimates of the salary range for this role is $70,802 to $87,933.. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a highly competitive benefits package.
