We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Manager, Business Development to lead market development initiatives, expand business opportunities, and drive growth across North America. In this leadership role, you'll partner closely with Regional Sales teams, Marketing, and Sonova brands including Phonak and AudioNova to develop and execute strategies that strengthen customer relationships, expand market presence, and support long-term business success. You'll also lead and develop a team focused on delivering meaningful business growth through education, engagement, and value-added programs. What You'll Do Drive Business Growth & Market Development Develop and execute business development strategies to identify and capitalize on market growth opportunities Lead initiatives focused on expanding customer engagement and increasing market penetration Partner with regional sales and marketing teams to implement targeted healthcare professional (HCP) education programs Collaborate with Sonova partner brands to develop and execute market development strategies Identify and implement best practices that enhance partner programs and deliver measurable value Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team Manage, coach, mentor, and develop a team of business development professionals Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans Provide regular coaching and feedback to drive performance and professional growth Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and results Make staffing decisions related to hiring, performance management, and team development Strengthen Customer & Partner Relationships Engage directly with healthcare professionals and coach team members on effective customer interactions Drive adoption of funnel management best practices to support business growth opportunities Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to maximize market impact Influence stakeholders and support change initiatives that advance strategic goals Drive Operational Excellence Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and growth Develop forecasting processes and performance objectives for the department Monitor business performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and HR practices Oversee employee engagement, performance reviews, development planning, and payroll approvals Champion continuous process improvement initiatives across the organization What You Bring Required Bachelor's degree Preferred Master's degree Degree in Audiology, Business, or a related field Experience 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, healthcare, or the medical device industry 3+ years of people leadership experience Experience leading and managing remote teams Hearing healthcare or hearing industry experience preferred Skills & Competencies Strong business development and sales acumen Results-oriented with a strategic mindset Excellent coaching, leadership, and team development skills Strong change management and process improvement capabilities Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills Ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change Comfortable presenting to groups and speaking publicly Highly organized with strong forecasting and planning abilities Empathetic, collaborative, and customer-focused leadership style Technical Skills Microsoft Office Suite Salesforce CRM Language Fluent in English A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova    Don't meet all the criteria?  If you’re willing to go all in and learn we'd love to hear from you!     We are looking forward to receiving your application via our online job application platform. The role serves as a strategic business partner to executive leadership and provides actionable insights supporting Managed Care, Retail Operations, Marketing, Contact Center, Finance, and Commercial teams. The position establishes enterprise KPI frameworks, delivers executive dashboards, advances predictive analytics capabilities, and identifies automation and AI opportunities that improve business performance and decision making. Responsibilities & Duties Lead enterprise business intelligence, reporting, and analytics strategy across all business functions. Develop executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and performance reporting packages. Establish enterprise reporting standards, metric definitions, and data governance processes. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting revenue, profitability, customer acquisition, and operational performance. Lead customer insights and marketing analytics including acquisition cost, campaign effectiveness, conversion performance, and customer lifetime value. Develop analytics supporting Contact Center performance, workforce planning, productivity, and customer experience initiatives. Partner with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, business case development, and profitability analysis. Develop reporting and performance measurement capabilities supporting Managed Care growth, clinic productivity, provider performance, referral conversion, and retail operations. Provide predictive analytics, scenario modeling, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Identify opportunities to automate reporting and business processes through technology and AI-enabled solutions. Build and maintain scalable self-service reporting capabilities using Power BI and related technologies. Lead cross-functional analytics initiatives and support enterprise transformation programs. Mentor and develop high-performing analytics talent and establish best practices in reporting, visualization, and data storytelling. Present business insights and recommendations to executive leadership teams. All other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, Data Science, Accounting, or related fields. MBA or Master's degree preferred. Work Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, FP&A, Strategic Planning, or Performance Management. 5+ years leading high-performing analytics or business intelligence teams. Experience supporting executive decision-making through analytics and performance reporting. Healthcare, managed care, retail healthcare, or multi-site operations experience preferred. Key Skills Required: Advanced analytics, forecasting, and business intelligence expertise. Strong financial acumen and strategic planning capabilities.
