Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo The Senior Manager of Business Development is a driven and results-oriented professional responsible for supporting revenue growth through the development and management of partnerships with global carriers and the identification of new business opportunities within the Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) services and IoT sectors. This individual will play a key role in securing strategic alliances, penetrating new regions, and establishing the company as a leader in the evolving landscape of satellite-enabled connectivity and NB IoT solutions. This role requires a highly motivated self-starter with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills. How You Will Contribute • Support the identification, cultivation, and management of strategic partnerships with global carriers, satellite operators, and technology providers in the NTN and IoT space. • Assist in negotiating and managing partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives. • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with partners to drive joint go-to-market strategies. • Assist in the identification, qualification, and pursuit of new business opportunities in the NTN services sector. • Support the execution of the business development strategy focused on expanding the company's presence in satellite-enabled connectivity solutions. • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target industries. • Assist in the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities within the IoT market, focusing on satellite-enabled connectivity solutions with existing and prospective MVNO partners. • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and market trends in the IoT space. • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver tailored IoT solutions. • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments in the NTN, IoT, and global carrier markets. • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute channel promotions and events. • Up to 30% of travel What We Look For • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, telecommunications, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the telecommunications, satellite, or IoT industries. • Demonstrated success in supporting the development and management of large enterprise partnerships. • Understanding of NTN technologies, satellite communication systems, and IoT applications a plus • Experience in supporting negotiations and closing deals. • Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Skylo’s direct-to-device service is now live on millions of activated devices across five continents, with more than 60 million square kilometers of coverage, in partnership with multiple satellite operators, mobile network operators (MNOs), Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs. Devices connected over satellite are managed and served by Skylo's commercial NTN vRAN, featuring a 3GPP standards-based cloud-native base station and core. Skylo provides anywhere, anytime connectivity solution that seamlessly roams between terrestrial and satellite networks. Our focus is on enabling connected services for people outdoors and connected workflows across three main verticals: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT. This is a remote position that requires the employee to be based in San Diego, CA. Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo Skylo is seeking a Program Manager for managing our Satellite Service Partner Providers from a program management standpoint. This person will be the day to day primary interface with our satellite partners to understand deployment and testing timelines and ensure that necessary dates and deliverables are met on schedule, including the satellite partner vendor deliverables. This person will be responsible for providing internal and external visibility for all aspects of the program, including tools & dashboards and pro-active tracking of results. This is a highly cross functional role spanning sales, engineering, operations, marketing, legal and other groups within the organization. This role combines both strategic leadership and tactical execution, ensuring that day-to-day activities are carried out effectively. This role has executive level attention within the organization and will be responsible for ensuring our customer success. How You Will Contribute • Own the operational relationship with our Satellite Service Provider Partners. • Own and manage the overall schedule ensuring site completeness, test readiness and other operational parameters required to launch the Skylo Services • Create custom dashboards and reporting tools to provide complete transparency and visibility of the project to anyone at any time associated with the project • Set clear operational milestones and success metrics, ensuring visibility internally and externally across the organization • Act as an effective point of communication and escalation for partner issues, collaborating cross-functionally to resolve challenges. • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key external stakeholders, serving as their advocate within Skylo • Coordinate with internal Skylo resources to ensure there is a cohesive customer or partner implementation plan What We Look For • 5+ years of experience in Program Management (external facing), Customer Success, Customer Onboarding, or a related role • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at senior management/executive levels. • Ability to handle complex, cross functional program execution • Strong leadership skills with a history of building and managing high-performing teams. • Strategic thinker with a track record of meeting or exceeding retention and growth targets. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to confidently represent your point of view to senior leadership and influence cross-functional teams. • Experience with program management tools and technologies, including JIRA. • Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments, adapting quickly to changing priorities. • Prior working experience for/with a Satellite Service Provider is desirable.
