This individual will play a critical role in maintaining operational uptime, infrastructure reliability, and overall system security across both production and internal environments. The position offers strong exposure to infrastructure operations, security remediation efforts, end-user support, and cross-functional IT initiatives in a fast-paced engineering-driven environment. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys solving infrastructure problems, takes ownership of operational issues, and can comfortably support a broad range of technologies including Linux servers, Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and security-related initiatives. This role will work closely with IT leadership and engineering teams to ensure systems remain stable, secure, and scalable while supporting ongoing operational improvements and compliance-related activities. Responsibilities This role will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of Linux and Windows server environments, including system monitoring, server performance management, patching activities, vulnerability remediation, and operational troubleshooting. The individual will support infrastructure uptime by proactively identifying system issues, responding to alerts, and assisting with backup monitoring and restore validation efforts. The environment requires someone comfortable handling both server-side administration and end-user infrastructure support, including account provisioning, Active Directory administration, Microsoft 365 support, and general operational troubleshooting across production and internal systems. Candidates with additional exposure to macOS support will be highly valued. In addition to core infrastructure administration responsibilities, this person will assist with basic network and security-related initiatives including VPN connectivity troubleshooting, DNS/DHCP support, firewall access requests, and general network troubleshooting activities. The role also requires strong documentation and organizational skills, as the individual will help maintain operational records, infrastructure documentation, and remediation tracking related to audits, vulnerability findings, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate independently while partnering closely with IT leadership on infrastructure stability, operational readiness, and ongoing support. Required Experience & Technical Skills • 4–6+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, or IT operations environments • Strong hands-on Linux administration experience across environments such as Red Hat and Ubuntu (80% Linux and 20% Windows environment) • Experience supporting Windows Server environments including Active Directory, user/group administration, and server troubleshooting • Hands-on experience with OS patching, vulnerability remediation, security updates, and penetration test remediation workflows • Experience supporting server monitoring, backup operations, restore validation, and infrastructure troubleshooting • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting • Basic experience supporting firewalls, network security concepts, and access-related troubleshooting • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and Office applications • Preferred experience supporting macOS environments and end-user systems • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment • Must be available for on-call support, but will be very minimal

You’ll collaborate with vendors and partners, and even play a part in RFPs and vendor selections when new initiatives kick off. What We’re Looking For • A PMP, PgMP, or similar certification. • A bachelor’s degree. • At least 5 years of hands-on project management experience with complex, cross-team initiatives. • A track record of leading tech-driven projects—system rollouts, integrations, digital platforms. • Familiarity with tools like MS Project or Jira. • Strong leadership and communication skills—you know how to bring teams together and get things done. • Comfortable with ambiguity and change, with the ability to keep projects moving in a fast-paced environment.
