Designing, implementing, and overseeing tax practice and accounting infrastructure for a wealth management firm. | CPA certification with 5+ years in tax and accounting, strong technical skills, and independent operation. | We are conducting this search for a growing wealth management firm expanding into in-house tax preparation and proactive tax planning. You will be the architect of this entire project, designing, implementing, and overseeing the firm’s tax practice for the firm's high net worth client. You will work directly with the firm's CEO in bringing this vision to reality for his clients who are eager to see this capability within the firm. You will help integrate tax strategy into wealth management. You are 100% creating a full department within a firm! What you will own and oversee 1) Tax Compliance • Prepare and review individual and small business returns • Establish documentation and review standards • Ensure federal, state, and local compliance • Maintain strong internal controls 2) Tax Planning • Build projection and estimate processes • Model planning scenarios • Partner with advisors on tax-efficient strategies • Participate in client discussions 3) Accounting Infrastructure • Oversee reconciliations • Post and review journal entries • Maintain prepaid and insurance schedules • Align reporting with GAAP 4) Process Design • Implement scalable workflows • Optimize software and systems • Improve efficiency and accuracy Who You Are • CPA • 5+ years in tax and accounting • Strong technically • Comfortable operating independently • Interested in ownership and growth You want impact.
