Assist with retail operations including cash handling, stocking, cleaning, and interacting with visitors. | Basic math and computer skills, retail experience preferred, ability to lift 40 pounds, and flexible schedule. | Responsibilities: The Saint Louis Zoo is seeking energetic, responsible and service-oriented applicants for seasonal employment opportunities in the Satellite Gift Shops. Job duties include cash handling, stocking, cleaning, bending, picking up merchandise, interacting with visitors, and other duties as assigned. The starting rate for this position is $15.00 per hour but may increase based on availability and experience. This position is for applicants interested in Retail, but are not yet 16 years of age. Qualifications: Candidate must have basic math and computer skills. It is preferred that the candidate have some retail experience with cash registers and/or POS systems. Candidate must have the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for 8 or more hours, and be comfortable working outside. Candidate must have a flexible work schedule, this will include weekdays, and some weekends, evenings, and holidays. All successful candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal background check.
