Oversee daily operations of the biobank, ensuring compliance, managing staff, and maintaining equipment and procedures. | Requires a Bachelor's in Behavioral Science or related field, with 5+ years of clinical or research experience, including 2+ years in a clinical research setting, and proficiency with research methodologies and IRB processes. | Summary: The Biorepository Operations Manager is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Rogers Research Center Biobank, assuring compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Coordinate biospecimen collection, tracking and processing Coordinate sample shipment and transport Develop and maintain Biobank SOPs and policies Oversee all financial aspects of operations, including managing the budget and purchasing of equipment and supplies Serve as the primary contact for all Biobank-related vendors and suppliers Collaborate with other Rogers departments to ensure Biobank operations meet enterprise guidelines Manage calibration, certification and testing of equipment Interface with researchers requesting samples Ensure that Biosafety requirements are met Monitor freezer function and respond to system alarms Ensure compliance with federal, state, institutional, safety, and IRB policies and requirements Maintain Biobank related dashboards and tracking systems Identify areas for workflow improvement Coordinate waste disposal with EVS Mentor and train junior staff Contribute to presentations and publications when appropriate O ther duties as assigned Additional Job Description: Education/Training Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science, or related field, Nursing, or LPN and five (5) years of clinical experience required. Two (2) years of work experience in a clinical or research setting. Preferred three (3) years of work experience in a clinical research setting. Competence in research methodologies and knowledge of clinical protocols; Analytical skills and the ability to resolve technical or research problems and issues; experience working with IRBs Proficient with various computer software programs, hardware devices, and ability to learn laboratory equipment.
