The position has real field authority and is designed for someone who has actually run work — not just managed it on paper. You’ll be responsible for keeping jobs moving, solving problems in real time, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and ensuring work is completed correctly, safely, and efficiently. This is an in-person role with regular site visits and direct involvement in field operations. You’ll work closely with ownership, sales, and office staff, but this role is expected to operate independently and make on-site decisions without constant direction. WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR • Overseeing daily field operations across multiple active residential jobs • Scheduling crews, equipment, and materials • Coordinating with sales, estimators, and office staff to ensure smooth job handoffs • Managing job progress, quality control, and safety compliance • Solving field issues as they arise without waiting for direction • Communicating clearly with homeowners when needed • Managing subcontractors and holding them accountable • Reviewing job costs, labor efficiency, and production timelines • Helping improve systems, processes, and field execution over time WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • Strong construction field background (you’ve actually run jobs) • Experience managing crews and subcontractors • Ability to read plans, scopes, and understand construction sequencing • Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership of outcomes • Organized, direct communicator • Willing to get in the truck and visit job sites daily • Residential construction experience preferred (foundation, structural, concrete, drainage, or similar trades a plus) THIS ROLE MAY NOT BE A FIT IF • Your experience is limited to house flipping with subcontractors doing all the work • You’re looking for a purely administrative or assistant role • You need heavy supervision to make decisions • Your background is strictly large corporate project management with no field authority COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Competitive salary based on experience • Paid time off • Health, dental, and life insurance • 401(k) with matching • Stable, long-term position with a company that has been operating for decades • Direct access to ownership and the ability to influence how the company operates WHY ROBBINS & COMPANY We are not a high-pressure sales organization.
