The Order Processing Specialist manages order input into various systems and processes orders daily. They maintain customer relationships by responding to inquiries and coordinating pickup and delivery appointments. | A high school education is required, with some college preferred. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work with minimal supervision. | Job Purpose: The OPS reports to the team Supervisor but will work in a supporting role with the RCSS to manage order input into a multitude of systems and manage the processing of the orders. The OPS will perform tasks as assigned by the RCSS or supervisory team.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Maintains customer relationships by responding to inquiries and documenting actions. * Enters orders into logistics software obtained from customers. * Coordinates pickup and delivery appointments for orders. * Processes orders daily. * Communicates issues to RCSS and leadership. * Works with applicable departments such as, but not limited to: Accounting, EDI, Logistics Team, etc., to gather appropriate information. * Provides regular and accurate status updates to either RCSS or the customer until completion. * Other duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications: * 1-year relatable experience preferred, but will train. * Excellent phone etiquette. * Excellent verbal communication skills. * Punctual. * Able to work with minimal supervision. * Customer service driven. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint). * Able to multi-task. * Professional appearance. * Must be able to communicate and collaborate with internal teams and external partners effectively via email, phone, or face-to-face as required. * Must be able to effectively manage multiple requests and issues simultaneously and be able to prioritize while completing in a timely manner. Education and/or Experience Required: * High school education required. * College or some college preferred. Language Skills Sets: * Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English. * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Mathematical Skills: * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. * Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. * Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. * Ability to determine “root cause” of problem and determine corrective action. Computer Skills: * To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.
