Lead and develop integrated marketing strategies to promote Redwire’s space capabilities and partnerships. | Requires 5+ years in marketing/communications, preferably in aerospace or space sectors, with proven campaign experience targeting government and commercial clients. | Redwire is seeking a strategic, self-starting, and driven marketing manager to lead marketing strategy and execution for our space business unit. This role is responsible for developing integrated marketing campaigns that elevate Redwire’s reputation as a trusted partner to NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), the U.S. Space Force, and other civil, national security, and commercial space organizations. This can be a Hybrid (Chantilly, VA area) or fully remote for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a deep understanding of B2B and B2G marketing in the aerospace, space exploration, and defense sectors. They will take initiative in identifying opportunities, crafting narratives, and collaborating across internal teams—including Business Development, Investor Relations, and Program Management—to translate strategic priorities into targeted campaigns, partnerships, and communications that advance Redwire’s role in enabling humanity’s next era of exploration and providing critical space capabilities for national security. Key Responsibilities • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Independently develop and execute marketing strategies that support Redwire’s space portfolio priorities. • B2B & B2G Campaign Development: Design and manage campaigns that increase awareness and engagement among government and commercial space organizations. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders across Business Development, Investor Relations, and Program Management to align company messaging with customer missions, policy goals, and national security and exploration objectives. • Market Positioning: Identify and activate opportunities to feature Redwire’s space technology leadership across global space media, industry associations, and major industry conferences. • External Relations: Build and maintain relationships with space-focused media outlets, industry organizations, and conference organizers to secure Redwire’s participation in key events, panels, and thought leadership opportunities. • Communications & Messaging: Collaborate with the content development team to produce marketing materials—including press releases, blogs, executive remarks and presentations, case studies, and digital content—that highlight Redwire’s impact on missions and partnerships. • Analytics & Reporting: Measure and report on campaign effectiveness using data-driven insights to inform strategy, optimize messaging, and demonstrate impact. Ideal Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or public affairs, preferably in aerospace, space technology, or exploration-focused organizations. • Proven experience executing integrated B2B and B2G campaigns targeting key stakeholders and customers. • Strong understanding of the space ecosystem, including key government agencies, programs, policies, and stakeholder dynamics. • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. • Established relationships with space industry associations, media outlets, and event organizers. • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to technical, scientific, and policy audiences. • Structured and organized, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight while maintaining alignment to strategic goals. Desired Skills • 8+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or public affairs, preferably in space, aerospace, or technology sectors. • Experience supporting marketing or communications efforts for space contractors, integrators, or commercial space companies. • Familiarity with international collaboration protocols, export controls, and space communications sensitivities. • Experience in both marketing and corporate communications disciplines (brand, public relations, events, and digital). • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in marketing performance tools and media monitoring systems. This position will be primarily on-site in our office in San Jose, CA with occasional remote work. Summary The Mission Assurance Manager is a key member of the program management team and will lead efforts to ensure the reliability, safety, and quality of our systems and processes. This role requires expertise in system safety, risk management, and mission assurance practices to support the development and delivery of mission-critical products and services. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust assurance strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Responsibilities • System Safety Management: Develop and implement system safety programs, including hazard analyses, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to ensure safe operation of systems. • Mission Assurance Leadership: Oversee mission assurance activities, including: • Defining quality and reliability standards, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. • Provide independent Mission Assurance oversite for program execution throughout the program lifecycle. • Lead program Failure Review Boards. • Support non-conformance process and material review boards • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential risks in design, development, and operational phases; develop and execute risk mitigation plans and support Risk and Opportunity Boards as a voting member. • Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, safety, and performance through data-driven analysis and corrective action processes. • Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., MIL-STD-882, ISO 9001, AS9100) and customer-specific requirements. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and program management teams to integrate mission assurance and safety principles into all phases of the project lifecycle. • Work with design assurance; reliability, EEE parts, radiation and M&P to meet program requirements and needs. • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain mission assurance plans, safety reports, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Strong communication skills written and verbal. Presentation experience is required. • Audits and Reviews: Conduct and support internal/external audits, design reviews, and safety assessments to verify compliance and performance. Ideal Experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace or other related Engineering field. With a 10 or more years of experience in Mission Assurance, System Safety, or Quality Assurance (aerospace, defense, or technology sector strongly preferred). • Proven experience with system safety processes, including hazard analysis (PHA, FHA, SHA), fault tree analysis (FTA), and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). • Experience with industry standards such as MIL-STD-882, AFSPCMAN 91-710, and AS9100. • Previous experience leading cross-functional teams, collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Missile system prelaunch Safety package (MSPSP) or Safety Data Package for a satellite program. • Must be willing to travel as required - 25%. • US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR regulations. • Must have the ability to obtain a Security Clearance. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
