Job Description The Red Gate Group is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to provide expert-level project management and technical leadership to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Chief Information Officer (CIO) Zero Trust (ZT) Program. This position is critical to advancing the agency’s Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and cybersecurity posture, supporting mission objectives for DIA, OUSD(I&S), and the broader Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE). The Senior IT Project Manager will lead and support the planning, coordination, execution, and oversight of ZT implementation, including technical evaluation, policy development, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement to ensure DIA meets required IC and DoD levels of ZT maturity. Responsibilities: Lead the planning, coordination, execution, and oversight of Zero Trust Architecture implementation, including development of project plans, schedules, and resource allocation. Oversee and manage complex, state-of-the-art, and unique IT programs and projects related to Zero Trust, ensuring alignment with strategic directives and mission objectives. Provide expert recommendations on cyber standards, ZT principles, concepts, and best practices to ensure alignment with DIA/CIO security policies and procedures. Advise on the design and development of ZT architecture, including network diagrams, system designs, and data flows, ensuring alignment with security requirements and industry best practices. Conduct analysis of existing network infrastructure and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization in support of ZT objectives. Develop, modify, and implement comprehensive IT governance frameworks aligned with industry standards, best practices, and ZT strategic objectives. Create and document IT governance policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect regulatory requirements, organizational needs, and risk management strategies. Prioritize security controls based on risk profiles and perform regular risk assessments, integrating business context for continuous monitoring. Create and implement automated workflows to verify ATO status between development and production environments. Assist in the creation and assessment of data security policies to support Zero Trust Environment (ZTE) objectives. Collaborate on metadata tagging policies to ensure data accessibility post-Trusted Data Format wrapper application. Qualifications Qualifications: Active TS/SCI (CI Poly Preferred) Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of IT project management and Zero Trust activities required to meet mission requirements. Minimum 8 years of experience related to IT project management, cybersecurity, or Zero Trust, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years. Master’s degree in a field related to IT project management, cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; OR Bachelor’s degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 13 years, as a substitute to the Master’s degree. Demonstrated ability to lead teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems and delivering solutions. This position provides strategic oversight, solves complex enterprise-wide challenges, and guides organizational direction for Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) interoperability and modernization efforts. The role directly supports DIA, OUSD(I&S), Joint Staff J2, and DCGS Family of Systems mission objectives.
