Led large federal property management teams overseeing building operations, budgets, vendor contracts, and tenant relations. | Extensive leadership and property management experience but no demonstrated restoration construction, Xactimate proficiency, or insurance negotiation expertise. | Construction Operations Manager – (St. Louis Metro) PuroClean, a premier Restoration Contractor serving the St. Louis area for over 15 years, is seeking a results-oriented leader to drive our Construction Division. Based in our Caseyville, IL regional office (a quick 12-minute reverse-commute from downtown STL), we offer the stability of a $3.8MM operation with a culture built on accountability and growth. Why this role is different: We aren't looking for a "cold caller." We have a highly successful Mitigation Division that generates 80% of our reconstruction leads. We need a Division Manager to step in, take those warm hand-offs, scope the loss, and secure the contract. You will be supported by an established infrastructure, including a dedicated Project Manager and Project Coordinator who handle the daily production logistics. Your Primary Mission • Scope & Estimate: Act as the technical expert. Inspect property damage and create precise, defensible estimates using Xactimate. • Secure the Job: Act as the face of PuroClean. Meet with property owners to sign contracts and move the rebuild forward. • Negotiate Value: Communicate directly with insurance adjusters to agree on scope and pricing. Your goal is to ensure the company maintains healthy margins through expert supplementing. • Lead the Division: Provide high-level oversight to the production team (PM and Coordinator) to ensure jobs stay on schedule and under budget. Qualifications (The Non-Negotiables) • Xactimate Proficiency: You must be able to write accurate sketches and line items efficiently. This is the core of the role. • Restoration Expertise: A deep understanding of residential/commercial building methods is required to defend your estimates to adjusters. • Leadership Drive: You must be comfortable "asking for the sale" and navigating the complexities of the insurance claim process. • Local Network: Familiarity with the St. Louis/Metro East subcontractor market is highly desirable. Supervise scheduling, coordination requirements for the job, completing job files and monitoring jobs from start to completion. Completing documentation in a timely manner and maintaining production costs at the established rate.
