The Network Administrator II position is charged with supporting, and maintaining server and network systems, participating in remediation activities, providing support to staff and other technology units, and taking part in business continuity exercises. This position is accountable for responding to service outages, as well as other infrastructure problems outside of business hours. The network administrator II position must demonstrate a blend of technical skills, problem solving skills, and good judgment. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am -500pm. This position will be a hybrid model both in person and remote with minimum of onsite expectation of 40% or as needed. In this position, you will Advanced Systems Administration: Applies working knowledge and experience to configure, manage, and troubleshooting network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Skills to implement business continuity plans to ensure network and server systems' resilience against potential disruptions or disasters. Ability to use scripting to automate tasks and increase efficiencies, Network Administration: Ability to understand network administration principles, including LAN/WAN management, firewall configuration, VPN setup, and network security protocols. Server Administration: Proficiency administering various server platforms such as Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V is essential for maintaining robust server systems. IT Security: Understanding of IT security best practices, specifically access control, data protection, encryption methods, vulnerability assessments, and incident response procedures. Cloud Technologies: Understand cloud computing platforms, including cloud-based infrastructure deployment, management, and optimization. Troubleshooting Expertise: Ability to diagnose and resolve network and server-related issues across multiple systems and platforms is crucial. Possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with diagnostic tools. Documentation and Reporting: Ability to document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, as well as generating reports on system performance, security incidents, and compliance status. Leadership and Mentorship: Need to be able to provide guidance, mentorship, and technical assistance to junior support staff, to foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Demonstrate an ability to work independently, make decisions aligned with our Technology Plan, and prioritize tasks effectively to ensure optimal performance, security, and accessibility of network and server systems. 24/7 Availability: Required to promptly address service outages and infrastructure issues, even outside standard business hours, demonstrating commitment to maintaining system uptime and reliability. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Associates: Management Information Systems (Required), Bachelors: Management Information Systems 5 to 7 years’ experience supporting and administering network infrastructure systems. | Required Any equivalent combination of experience and education. | Required Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) - Cisco Systems, CompTIA Network+ Certification - CompTIA, CompTIA Security+ Certification - CompTIA, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) - Microsoft, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) - Microsoft, VMware VCP-DTM - VMware In 1934, 22 ordinary people pooled $90 of their own money and formed PSECU, a not-for-profit credit union, to provide a better life for themselves and their families.
