Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform. Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. Knowledge of monitoring tools and log management solutions. Solid troubleshooting skills across cloud-based systems. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. A bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years of experience in cloud networking are required. | What You’ll Do As a Network Operations Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of helping global clients transform their operations with cloud-based solutions. We are looking for experienced Network Operations Engineer that can design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud networking solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Will be responsible for the network and operational stability of client test and production environments. Must have a strong background in network engineering and firewall support, system administration and technical operations. This role is critical to ensuring seamless connectivity across cloud and hybrid environments, supporting the client business applications and services. Here’s a glimpse into your day-to-day: Design and deploy AWS networking solutions including VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, Transit Gateways, load balancers and VPN connections. Implement and manage hybrid cloud connectivity (Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN). Configure and maintain network security using AWS security groups, NACLs, and firewalls. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues across cloud and on-prem environments. Monitor WAF logs and analytics to identify and respond to suspicious activity, false positives, and performance issues. Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure secure and efficient cloud network architecture. Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to integrate WAF into CI/CD pipelines and ensure secure deployments. Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates for consistent WAF configuration across environments. Automate network provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible. Stay up to date with Cloudflare product updates, threat intelligence, and best practices in web application security. Maintain documentation of network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures and enforce system standards. Perform regular software upgrades of network and switching equipment (including hotfixes and security updates). Secure network and firewall systems by establishing and enforcing security policies and defining user access. Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility. Stay current with AWS networking services and best practices. Serve as part of a 24x7 on-call rotation for escalation of issues and emergencies. Participate in the planning/design of procedures and technical infrastructure for purposes of business continuity in case of disaster or prolonged production outages. Experience with LAN/WAN and related technologies including firewalls, routers, and switches. Experience with SAN/NAS administration. Network debugging skills on Cisco (or comparable) core switches and firewall. Experience in administration of firewalls, VPN, and associated security technologies. Experience with routing protocols, DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing. Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) and IaC automation tools (Terraform, Ansible). Experienced in delivering high uptime in a 24x7 production environment under customer facing SLAs CCNA/CCNP, AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or other comparable certifications are strongly preferred. Experience with Cloudflare Web Application Firewalls is preferred. Experience with Palo Alto and Juniper firewalls a plus. Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Disciplined, detail-oriented, and well organized with a strong background in operational methodology. Ability to independently research, specify, cost, and plan appropriate solutions to meet project requirements on time and in budget with an eye for maintainability and availability. Here’s a glimpse into your day-to-day: Design, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and Azure. Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to provision and scale resources reliably. Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and operational workflows. Plan, schedule, and execute change management processes, including OS patching and configuration updates, while ensuring compliance. Automate infrastructure and configuration tasks using tools like Ansible (and/or other automation frameworks). Hands-on experience CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar). Deep knowledge of Linux administration (Red Hat and/or SUSE preferred) and Windows systems. Solid understanding of change management frameworks (ITIL or equivalent) and experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow. Administrative experience with one or more major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure). Understanding of Virtual Server backup and restore methodologies within GCP, AWS, Azure. Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration. Scripting proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or Python. Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, security, and system performance. Bonus Skills Automation experience with Ansible (or Puppet, Chef). Cloud certifications (ex. GCP Associate Cloud Engineer , AWS SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate).
