Manage large-scale enterprise technology transformation programs with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders. | Requires 5+ years in heavy civil, roadway, concrete or utility-restoration work with estimating and bidding experience. | Prime Construction & Excavation | Metro Detroit, MI Prime Construction & Excavation is hiring an experienced estimator/project manager for MDOT, municipal, utility and hard-surface restoration work. We need someone who can move fast, understand field production and take a bid from plans to final pricing. Work Includes • MDOT and municipal roadway work • Utility-cut restoration • Concrete road base and asphalt caps • Sidewalk, curb, gutter and ADA ramps • Excavation, aggregate base and demolition • Traffic control and restoration packages Responsibilities • Find and qualify bidding opportunities • Review plans, specifications and addenda • Complete quantity takeoffs • Build labor, material, equipment and trucking costs • Solicit and level subcontractor and supplier quotes • Identify risks, exclusions and missing scope • Prepare bid forms and final pricing • Hand awarded work into operations • Compare estimated production against actual results Qualifications • 5+ years in heavy civil, roadway, concrete or utility-restoration work • Experience bidding or managing public work • Strong understanding of concrete, asphalt and excavation • Able to build production-based estimates • Organized, accurate and dependable • Comfortable communicating with ownership, crews, suppliers and subcontractors Preferred • MDOT experience • HeavyBid, B2W, Bid Express or AASHTOWare • Bluebeam, AGTEK or PlanSwift • Prevailing-wage, DBE and bid-bond requirements Compensation $110,000–$160,000+, depending on experience.
