Duties • Develop, test, and deploy web applications using Python and Flask frameworks on Google Cloud infrastructure. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design user-friendly interfaces, wireframes, and responsive web pages utilizing HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, Angular, and React. • Maintain and optimize databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQLite, and Microsoft SQL Server to ensure data integrity and performance. • Implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party web services to enhance application functionality. • Manage version control systems like GitHub and SVN; utilize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar tools for continuous deployment. • Apply system architecture principles and DevOps practices including Docker, Ansible, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud services to streamline development workflows. • Conduct unit testing and code reviews to uphold high-quality standards; participate in Agile/Scrum development cycles using Jira or Trello. • Design user flows and conduct UX/UI improvements focusing on web design best practices such as SEO optimization and responsive web design principles. Requirements • Develop and deploy new features on Google App Engine. • Maintain and optimize existing codebase (~80K lines of Python, ~19K lines of JavaScript, ~30K lines of HTML templates). • Manage Firestore (Datastore mode), Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions. • Debug and improve both backend (Python/Flask) and frontend (JavaScript, HTML, CSS/Bootstrap). • Collaborate using Git for source control. • Ensure site reliability, security, and scalability. • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities; capable of translating technical concepts into clear language for diverse audiences. Join us in making a difference in supporting our community’s spiritual growth!
