Perform housekeeping and laundry duties in a healthcare setting to maintain cleanliness and safety. | High school diploma or equivalent, healthcare experience preferred, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, effective communication skills. | Housekeeping - CVI - Rehab at Hartsfield Village (Powers Health) Schedule: Full-time: includes every other weekend and alternating holidays Good communication skills and willing to work a flexible schedule Areas of Responsibility: Under supervision and in accordance with established schedules, procedures and safety standards, performs housekeeping and laundry service duties necessary to maintain the facilities patient, non-patient, and public areas in an orderly, safe sanitary and attractive condition, Including: • Dusting, Mopping, Sweeping, Vacuuming, Wiping down surfaces, Trash Removal, replacement of soaps, sanitizers, and other supplies • Responding to urgent cleaning needs of Staff and Residents to help maintain a clean, safe and attractive environment • Assist with and work in Laundry, following all necessary established infection control procedures and safety standards Knowledge and Abilities: Must be able to regularly stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, and crouch. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to communicate effectively in English both in writing and verbally to residents and team members. Must possess strong Teamwork ethic along with effective communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform required competencies (skills) for this position within allotted time frames. High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Related experience in a healthcare setting preferred. The Intermediate Care North Unit is a 32-bed multidisciplinary 24-hour unit located on the third floor of the hospital. Patients over the age of twelve may be admitted to this unit, but the average age is 65. The most common types of patients admitted to IMCU North include patients with: ESRD patients (CAPD or Hemodialysis) either primary or secondary diagnosis, cardiac dysrhythmia, unstable angina, CAD, PVD, COPD, management of diabetes, CHF, general surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring postoperatively. Nurse Assistant Roles and Responsibilities: • Performs various designated patient care activities necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort and safety of the patient in accordance with Hospital Policy and Nursing Service Standards. • Assists patients with ADLs, ambulation, mobility, positioning, turning and lifting while maintaining all Safety Patient Care Practices. • Assists patients with transfers and discharges. • Assists patients with nutritional needs ie passing and collecting food trays, feeding patients, providing fresh water every shift, assist with maintenance of special diets and between meal nourishment. Required Skills & Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalency preferred. • One year direct patient care experience with successful completion of competency exam, completion of one semester of clinicals in nursing program or completion of nursing assistant certification required. • CPR certification required. • Completes annual skill validations as well as safety and infection control procedures.
