We are looking for a Data Center Construction Project Manager to support critical facility construction projects. The Construction PM will be responsible for all aspects of managing a data center construction project and act on the Owner’s behalf. This will include providing leadership to contractors and vendors associated with the delivery of company projects. The candidate will have overall responsibility for the delivery of assigned projects on budget on time and assurance that the project scope and quality meet Company Design Standards and the objectives set for the project. The successful candidate will have to be exceptionally organized and be great with back office work (change orders, budgets, paperwork driven, etc.) Responsibilities: • Maintain liaison with various contractors and vendors in order to manage the day to day activities that impact the delivery of company’s critical facilities construction projects • Ensure that all day to day project responsibilities are met by the contractors and vendors on the project • Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Responsible for negotiating contracts with vendors as necessary. Responsible for creating and managing project schedules • Put together Project plans – size up, costs, budget, scheduling, timeline, manage change orders, etc. • Assists with reporting and RFPs to Contractors • Deliver Built to Suit projects with a heavy emphasis on value-engineering • Drive Company Standards uniformly as it regards to Project Delivery by all project participants on all projects • Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income / expenses) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client • Represent the company in project meetings • Act as key Liaison with managers of all company departments • Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project Qualifications: • BA / BS a plus • Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or as a General Contractor • Experience managing a budget • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry • Belong and Attend professional organizations such as AFCOM, ASHRAE, 7×24 exchange, PTC, Datacenter Dynamics / DCD, Uptime, iMasons, Bisnow etc. • Client Facing /Client relationship / Client Management skills • Must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects • Solid Construction Project Management experience • Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face • Ability to work independently • Travel as needed to project sites • Solid Admin skills • Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel, P6 Oracle Primavera, AutoCAD a plus • Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans a huge plus! They provide electrical contractors, designers, electrical commissioning, operations / maintenance, and management expertise for their clients’ critical power needs. We are looking for Electrical Construction Project Manager to support critical facility construction projects. This PM will run this office, manage projects from cradle to grave: estimates, run project to completion, handle procurement, and provide support post implementation. They will handle all aspects of managing a data center construction project and this will include providing leadership to contractors and vendors associated with the delivery of company’s electrical projects. The candidate will have overall responsibility for the delivery of assigned projects on budget on time and assurance that the project scope and quality meet Company Design Standards and the objectives set for the project. The successful candidate will have to be exceptionally organized and be great with back-office work (change orders, budgets, process driven, etc.). Ideal candidate has come up the ranks in Electrical trades on the commercial side of business. Responsibilities: • Project focus will be over 100mm range • Focus will either be on ground up data center projects (Greenfields), re-purposing a building (brownfields), or retrofits of existing data centers • Respond to RFPs, RFIs to generate regional work in the area • Generate estimates, prepare and review project proposals or plan to determine and establish a time frame, work plan, funding limitations • Procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various project phases • Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project • Oversee the project through administrative direction of on-site supervision to ensure the project is built following design, budget, and schedule • Put together Project plans – size up, costs, budget and p/l, scheduling, timeline, forecasting, track expenses, manage change orders, etc. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Assist the Senior Project Manager in negotiating contracts with vendors as necessary. Responsible for creating and managing project schedules • Maintain liaison with various contractors and vendors in order to manage the day-to-day activities that impact the delivery of company’s critical facilities construction projects • Be the point of contact with the clients onsite at the project location, represent the company in project meetings and any other contractors, GCs involved with the project, act as key Liaison with managers of all company departments • Change Management Forms and Create Methods of Procedure (MOPs) • Ensure that all day-to-day project responsibilities are met by the contractors and vendors on the project • Manage a regional team of suppliers and coordinate all deliveries of equipment with the Customer’s Construction Contractor. • Lead the planning efforts in implementing manpower and managing the Integration of projects and timeline for Internal projects on Customer Site • Drive Company Standards uniformly as it regards to Project Delivery by all project participants on all projects • Deliver Built to Suit projects with a heavy emphasis on value-engineering • Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income / expenses) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client • Ensure planning, laying out installing and wiring electrical components are completed per drawings, specs and in accordance with electrical code • Oversee electrical installation of equipment and job performance on sites and ensure ongoing attention to work-site safety and standards • Follow OSHA standards with a huge emphasis of job site safety and adherence to company policies and national safety standards Qualifications: • Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as a General Contractor • Experience managing a budget 100mm or more • 5+ years’ experience as a licensed journeyman electrician a plus • 5+ years of supervisory experience / People and Resource Management • Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, equipment, materials, and tools of the electrical trade • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work • Ability to supervise the work of skilled workers and provide guidance and leadership • Experience interpreting blueprints and specifications – both electrical and mechanical drawings • Experience with Electrical Conduits / Power Systems such as UPS, Switchgear, Generators, PDU’s • Should have a background or know what this means when conducting electrical installations to include things like: crown box, offset and slice junction • Minimum of 5-10 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry • BA / BS / Associates Degree a plus but not required • Client Facing / Client relationship / Client Management skills • Solid Construction Project Management experience • Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face • Ability to successfully work independently; Self Starter, self motivated, and attention to detail • Travel as needed to project sites • Solid Admin skills • OSHA Certification (or ability to get one within first 12 months of employment) • Finance Experience – forecasting, budgets, etc. • Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel, Teams, MS Project, Oracle Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD a plus • Previous experience in the Military / Military Veterans a huge plus!
