Provide strategic HR and talent management support, employee relations consultation, workforce planning, and compliance in a healthcare setting. | Bachelor's degree, 3+ years HR experience, PHR or SHRM-CP certification, strong communication and analytical skills, and healthcare HR experience preferred. | Location: Moody Outpatient Center 5th Floor Primary Purpose Provide strategic Human Resource and talent management support to assigned client group. Responsible for assessing Human Resource needs and developing solutions. Serve as a consultant on Human Resource related matters. MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS Education • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related discipline required. • Master's degree in human resources, business administration or related discipline preferred. Experience • Three (3) years of Employee Relations, Human Resource Generalist, or Human Resource Business Partner experience required. • Experience conducting investigations and resolving employee relation issues ranging from basic to complex required. • Recent experience in a healthcare Human Resources setting preferred. Equivalent Education And/or Experience • Seven (7) years of experience working in an Employee Relations, Human Resource Generalist, Human Resource Business Partner, or comparable position in a healthcare environment may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree. Certification/Registration/Licensure • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or commitment to obtain within two years from date of entry into position required. Ability to learn new software programs. Responsibilities Workforce Strategy • Work collaboratively with leaders to align Human Resource strategy with business objectives. • Assist with strategic workforce planning activities such as conducting interviews, completing flight risk assessments, and data collection. • Provide guidance and support on workforce redeployment and restructures ensuring compliance with established guidelines. • Assist leaders with creating and/or revising job descriptions. Facilitate the compensation review process for these positions. • Analyze workforce metrics reporting on critical or ongoing trends and developing appropriate interventions for correction. Employee Relations • Provide consultative services to all levels of the organization by effectively coaching and supporting employees and leaders through various Human Resource related situations. • Interpret policies and procedures ensuring appropriate application with awareness to impact and liability. • Conduct thorough investigations in an impartial and unbiased manner ensuring discovery meetings are completed with implicated parties and Just Culture principles are applied. • Provide guidance to leaders on determining the appropriate level of disciplinary action to render applying Just Culture principles. • Assist with writing progressive disciplinary action. • Review termination requests for appropriateness and obtain required approvals. • Attend and/or facilitate investigation, disciplinary action, or termination meetings when necessary. Employee Engagement • Work collaboratively with employees and leaders to assess and improve workforce engagement and retention. • Identify and promote best practices to improve retention and attract high performing talent. • Assist leaders with developing action plans to improve engagement and/or retention indicators. Monitor progress against these plans providing guidance to leaders on adjustments that may need to be made. • Sustain a high level of service delivery with employees throughout the employment life cycle. Performance Management • Responsible for managing and supporting the assessment of individual and department performance needs to maximize workforce performance. • Assist leaders with developing the appropriate standards of performance and defining accountability for their respective areas. • Provide guidance and support leaders with the performance appraisal process. • Work collaboratively with leaders to implement performance management strategies to address uncorrected performance deficiencies of employees. Education and Training • Assist with deploying education and training programs as requested. • Provide status reports to leadership on completion rates. • Ensure established deadlines are met and appropriate action is taken to manage non-compliance. Regulatory Compliance • Ensures organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as laws governing business operations and requirements of accrediting agencies. Conduct periodic auditing for compliance. • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to management of employees, reducing legal risks, and maintaining compliance. Partner with the Legal Affairs department as necessary. Primary Purpose The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for the processing, monitoring, and analyzing; and giving accurate reporting of an organization¿s inventory level with a focus on minimizing costs, while maintaining product availability at the right amount and supply needed in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy. Works in collaboration with the management team to meet the procedural supplies and product needs for all Parkland Health and Hospital System patients. The candidate also ensures that optimal inventory is present and ready for use by conducting daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems. This position is also responsible for working with vendor to ensure a good relationship between vendor and the hospital. Minimum Specifications Education • High School Diploma Experience • Minimum six years progressively responsible experience working in an automated inventory environment with experience in inventory, distribution and operational procedures Equivalent Education And/or Experience • May have an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above. Responsibilities • Responsible for planning and reporting on the progress of inventory reduction initiatives and championing inventory issues throughout Parkland Health & Hospital System, including off-site locations to maintaining system accuracy for all inventory. • Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers. • Locates alternative sources of supplies through research with other vendors or hospitals to ensure timely supply of needed products • Executes multiple functions required to procure new products, deplete former versions, and address excess and obsolete inventories. • Communicate with warehouse supervisor about current stock and potential issues with orders and keeps management informed of any significant problems with stock-outs, manufacture backorders, recalls and obsolete products. • Assists in the planning and coordination of End of Year Inventory • Assists in cycle count completion and performs related discrepancy research. • Interfaces with departmental personnel to verify correct orders are placed and monitors usage and sourcing. • Review and maintain the current inventory counts as required to ensure that overstocks are minimized and that the redundant and obsolete products are disposed and removed in accordance with prescribed methods. • Demonstrates knowledge of Materials Management regarding transfers and issues from warehouse to other sourcing methods and conduct daily analysis to forecast potential inventory issues. • Assumes responsibility for ensuring the effective and timely start/completion of all trials and conversions, applying knowledge of product and usage to assist with timelines. • Interface lead as it relates to catalog change for products to communicate changes to on-site and off-site customers. • Coordinate deliverable schedules for conversions and trials, project timelines, and shares concerns about deliverables, timelines, and other issues with management and clinical staff. • Acts as liaison between Material Services and Value Analysis for all product trials and conversions and proactively manages the sourcing with contracted vendors. • Review reports to maintain status of all purchase orders on weekly basis and work with purchasing department ensuring compliance of established timelines. • Collaborate with Informatics team to generate and review reports determining basic characteristics, such as origin and report flow, format, frequency, distribution and purpose or function of report. • Regularly analyze and report out on inventory risks, evaluate trends, and vendor strategies in order to meet fill rates and control inventories using reports and metrics. • Conduct analysis of data to check for trends and patterns to identify current Medical Surgical distribution and sourcing performance and recommend strategy to address and mitigate risk. • Investigate discrepancies in the warehouse inventory system and report findings and recommend improvements. • Collaborate with clinical departments and vendors to examine processes or issues that negatively impact inventory management while recommending corrective actions as needed. • Performs special projects and produces special project reports as requested by the supervisor. • Demonstrate professionalism at all times, having a positive attitude and displays integrity and excellence in all tasks. • Identifies opportunities for improvement and provides suggestions to improve work flow, cut costs and increase efficiencies. • Serves on various interdisciplinary committees and attends various departmental and interdepartmental meetings as assigned. • Respond to email correspondence, attends meetings and participates in planning discussions as needed. • Provide assistance and direction to colleagues and subordinates as required. • Perform related duties as assigned or as situation dictates Parkland Health and Hospital System prohibits discrimination based on age (40 or over), race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, disability, national origin, marital status, political belief, or veteran status.
