About the Role Pacaso is seeking a Senior Manager of Interior Design who excels in both luxury design and business-minded operations. This hybrid role bridges Design and Supply Chain, combining creative leadership with strong financial and operational discipline. You are a designer first, skilled in high-end residential and hospitality interiors, but you also understand budgets, procurement, profitability, and scalable systems. You’ll design beautiful, luxury homes while helping build the operational and financial structure that allows Pacaso’s design function to scale and generate new revenue. You will partner closely with the Director of Supply Chain & Operations to evolve Pacaso’s design standards, workflows, product assortments, and new services, acting as both a creative leader and a strategic, business-focused contributor. Luxury Design Execution & Team Leadership Lead and mentor the design team, developing skills and leveraging individual strengths to deliver high-quality work. Oversee the full design process, from concept to installation, to ensure every home meets Pacaso’s luxury standards while adhering to tight onboarding schedules. Create compelling design narratives, palettes, and presentations that support Sales and elevate the owner experience. Review and refine design deliverables, including concepts, FF&E specifications, and installation plans. Maintain and evolve the Pacaso Design Standard, adapting to regional styles while ensuring brand consistency. Foster a collaborative, creative culture focused on beauty, durability, and scalable design practices. Budget Management & Procurement Strategy Partner with Procurement and Accounting to ensure design decisions align with onboarding and refresh budgets. Select products that balance luxury aesthetics with durability, warranty coverage, availability, and lifecycle cost. Analyze cost drivers and propose solutions that optimize margins without compromising the owner experience. Support development of scalable FF&E assortments, shoppable inventory, and pre-approved product lines. Revenue Growth & Cross-Functional Collaboration Support and expand Pacaso’s Design Services, helping transform creative ideas into profitable offerings. Contribute to “Shoppable Home” programs and curated product assortments that drive revenue and operational efficiency. Produce design assets that also serve as Sales and Marketing collateral. Identify new revenue opportunities through owner behavior analysis and market insights. Partner with Supply Chain & Operations to build scalable processes, sourcing strategies, and regional design approaches. Support global expansion through regional palette development and sourcing opportunities. Participate in strategic initiatives across staffing, supply chain innovation, and new technology adoption. Systems, Tools & Process Development Help modernize design workflows by implementing dynamic, collaborative tools (Google Workspace, Salesforce, Houzz, etc.). Use product performance and failure data to refine Pacaso’s design and sourcing standards. Contribute to long-term design roadmaps that balance creativity with operational and financial discipline. About You 10+ years of interior design experience in luxury residential; hospitality or boutique commercial experience preferred. Strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated design, clear storytelling, and execution within budgets and timelines. Experience leading or mentoring designers, with the ability to elevate team output and foster creative growth. Ability to thrive in a high-velocity environment, delivering luxury results under strict deadlines while managing multiple concurrent projects. Skilled at designing independently while balancing budget, operational, and durability considerations. Strong understanding of procurement, cost management, lifecycle value, and ROI-driven decision making. Comfortable partnering closely with accounting, procurement, operations, and cross-functional teams to align design with business goals. Excellent communicator who can translate creative concepts into practical, scalable solutions. Collaborative, adaptable, and able to influence across departments in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Proficient in Google Workspace; familiarity with tools like Houzz, Order.co, Studio Designer, or similar procurement platforms.
