Position: Site Assistant Location: In Person; Dallas, Texas Type: Part-time M, T, TH, F 2:00pm-6:00PM W: 1:00pm-6:00pm Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour At New Horizons of North Texas, we are committed to creating a brighter future for vulnerable children and youth in our community. We provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive, develop essential life skills, and build a foundation for success. Overview: We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as School Program Staff. As a School Program Staff member, you will have the opportunity to work with students in various capacities, providing support and guidance in their educational and personal development. If you have a passion for working with children and are committed to making a positive impact, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities: - Assist students with their academic work, providing guidance and support as needed - Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive and safe learning environment - Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development - Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the success of the program - Provide Christian guidance and support to students, fostering their spiritual growth - Supervise students during recess, lunchtime, and other designated periods - Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior Skills: - Experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting - Strong understanding of childhood development principles and best practices - Ability to educate and engage students through creative teaching methods - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Proficient in behavior management techniques - Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus - Sports coaching experience is a plus Join our team of dedicated professionals and make a difference in the lives of students.
