Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who combines strong technical expertise with ownership mindset and product awareness. This role is responsible for designing, building, and evolving scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-native systems that power our enterprise SaaS platform. You will play a key role in shaping architecture, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering excellence while collaborating closely with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Architecture Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native solutions (primarily on Azure) Drive architectural decisions and ensure alignment with long-term platform strategy Translate business requirements into well-structured, maintainable system designs Identify and address technical debt and system bottlenecks proactively Engineering Excellence Develop high-quality, production-grade code with strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and reliability Uphold and evolve coding standards, testing strategies, and CI/CD practices Participate in design and code reviews to ensure consistency and quality across the platform Champion best practices in observability, monitoring, and incident response Product & Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions Contribute to end-to-end feature delivery, from design through deployment and iteration Align technical decisions with business goals and customer impact Innovation & Continuous Improvement Evaluate and prototype new technologies, tools, and patterns to improve platform capabilities Contribute to building internal frameworks, reusable components, and accelerators Drive initiatives that improve developer productivity and platform scalability Mentorship & Team Impact Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers across the team Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and engineering rigor Lead by example in ownership, collaboration, and delivery excellence Qualifications & Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience 7+ years of professional software development experience 3+ years of experience building and operating cloud-based applications (Azure preferred) Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python) Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React or Angular) Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and microservices architecture Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure Preferred Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms Familiarity with data platforms, analytics, and event-driven systems Exposure to security and compliance considerations in enterprise applications Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Why You’ll Love Working Here: Comprehensive Benefits – Medical, Dental, Vision plan options and Company-Paid Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance 401K Contributions – Generous employer match with immediate vesting Generous Time Off – 5 weeks of PTO, 9 paid holidays, and 3 days of volunteer time off each year Neighborly Software is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are looking for a Software Engineer II who can assist in the analysis, investigation, and resolution of platform production items to support neighbors (clients), client-success, and client-support teams. This role is open to ONLY candidates currently based in Georgia or those willing to relocate to the Atlanta metro area.
