Manage and optimize company operations including shipping, finance, HR, and vendor relations. | Experience in operations, finance, bookkeeping, and working with hardware or startups is preferred. | Mentra is building the operating system and hardware platform for enterprise smart glasses. We recently shifted to 100% enterprise. Customers are preparing deployments in the tens of thousands of units over the next six months, on top of the thousands of Mentra Live glasses already shipped since we launched in February. We are a team of approximately 10 across San Francisco and Shenzhen. We are hiring an Operations and Finance Manager to become the operational backbone of the company. You will own: Shipping, freight, customs, inventory, fulfillment, procurement, and RMAs AP, AR, invoicing, collections, payments, bookkeeping, and monthly close Payroll, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, HR administration, and compliance Insurance, registrations, office operations, travel, vendors, and subscriptions Building and automating systems so these processes run reliably as we scale This is a hands-on execution role, not a strategy role. Minimum bar is owning the above. Excelling involves building and owning the automations for these systems. The role has a lot of room for growth, from Head of Operations, to VP of Ops, to COO. The right person is highly organized, dependable, emotionally intelligent, strong with practical bookkeeping, and relentless about closing loops. You should be comfortable working directly with founders, employees, customers, accountants, factories, and logistics partners, and willing to personally do the work. Experience with hardware, startups, international logistics, QuickBooks, Gusto, Ramp, Mercury, or US-China operations is especially valuable. You will help build the operational foundation behind the fastest-moving startup in smart glasses.
