Build and maintain relationships with architectural and construction professionals to promote redwood products through in-person outreach and presentations in Southern California. | Bachelor's degree preferred, 3-5 years related sales or business development experience, knowledge of architectural products and building codes, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel extensively. | This is a remote, home-based position; however the employee will work primarily in the field conducting in-person outreach to employers and community partners, including traveling to company sites and conducting face-to-face engagement to build and maintain relationships. The ideal candidate will reside in the Southern California area (i.e.; Los Angeles, Irvine, Long Beach) as the primary work territory will encompass Southern California with an expectation of approximately 85% of out-of-office work. The Redwood Ambassador will engage with the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction community to increase awareness and specification of the Mendocino Companies’ product lines with special emphasis on redwood decking, paneling, siding, and timbers. The ideal candidate will focus on outreach to architects, landscape architects, interior designers, engineers, general contractors and will respond to incoming inquiries and technical questions, provide subject matter presentations and product samples, and participate in outreach events. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Identify and establish strong relationships with architects, landscape architects, interior designers, engineers, general contractors, and other purchase specifiers to promote the specification of redwood decking, paneling, siding, and timbers in their projects, which may be located outside of Southern California • Become a trusted resource and develop superior relationships with specifier communities • Display and demonstrate products using samples, catalogs, product knowledge presentations, or continuing education presentations. Emphasize unique product features and benefits. Aligns units in preparation to Band units and prepare for shipping in a safe productive manner.
