Lead social media content creation and strategy to grow audience engagement and ensure consistent editorial voice across platforms. | Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years media experience including 3+ years online journalism and 2+ years social media strategy. | The Senior Social Content Editor is responsible for leading the social team on a day-to-day basis in support of the EP of Editorial Engagement to ensure consistency of voice and tone across all AJ+ social platforms and overall growth of the AJ+ audience. The Senior Social Content Editor will commission non-video content for the channel’s various social media platforms to drive shareability and conversations around US and world events. This role requires editorial knowledge when reaching to breaking news, creating titles and descriptions, and sharing content.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESExecute the tasks assigned by the EP of Editorial EngagementDevelop and distribute social media content across online platformsLiaise with producers and editors to ensure content is being distributed effectively via social mediaDevelop new methods of driving audience interaction as directed by the EP of Editorial EngagementDevelop and maintain workflows for analyzing social media trends on a daily basisContribute significantly to all major online and editorial social media campaignsOTHER RESPONSIBILITIESLead coverage of live events on social media, including live tweetingTake the lead on tracking trends and identifying emerging stories on socialCommission complementary content to go with stories such as GIFs, memes, etc.Curate content and create posts that will get high engagement on socialEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years of media experience is requiredAt least 3 years’ experience in online journalismAt least 2 years’ experience in social media strategyA proven track record of success #J-18808-Ljbffr
