The organization uses litigation, advocacy, and communications to protect public health, preserve wildlife and natural places, advance clean energy, and combat climate change. It has offices in more than a dozen U.S. cities and a team of environmental lawyers, legislative advocates, and communications professionals. This is a non-supervisory research and analysis role that sits within the Communications department and works closely with the Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications, the Vice President of Policy and Legislation, Litigation VPs, and the President. The analyst will produce regular reports and briefing memos, track polling and message testing, develop data-informed recommendations for messaging and spokesperson strategy, and synthesize complex research into accessible content for thought leadership. The role also involves maintaining relationships with external partner organizations and coalitions to stay current on the latest research across environmental and public interest issues.
