The Role We are seeking an R&D Technician to support our engineering and scientific teams in developing next-generation quantum hardware. This role is highly hands-on, working directly with cryogenic systems, RF components, and precision assemblies. You'll be responsible for building, maintaining, and testing hardware while ensuring smooth lab operations. Primary Responsibilities • Support experiments by preparing setups, monitoring test runs, and recording results. • Operate lab equipment and tools safely and effectively, following standard operating procedures. • Assemble, wire, and test hardware systems, including cryogenic equipment and RF wiring. • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and component-level issues under the guidance of research staff. • Maintain lab organization, inventory, and equipment calibration. • Document procedures, results, and improvements to support knowledge transfer across the team. • Collaborate with engineers and scientists to accelerate product development cycles. Qualifications • Associate's degree in engineering, physics, or related technical field; or equivalent hands-on experience. • 1+ years of experience working in a lab, manufacturing, or technical R&D environment. • Ability to follow technical instructions and contribute to process improvements. • Strong organizational and documentation skills. • Experience with cryogenics, vacuum systems, or RF hardware is a plus but not required. • Excited to learn new skills in a fast-paced startup environment.
