This role requires periodic travel, with projects typically east of Texas up to Wisconsin, and the ability to travel all over the United States as needed. Enjoy trips of 10 to 30 days with covered lodging and per diem while working on engaging projects. Work 10 to 12-hour shifts from Sunday at 6:00 pm to Friday at 8:00 am, ensuring at least 40 hours weekly, with potential for overtime during peak times. Between travels, return to Murfreesboro for local welding and fabrication work, serving areas from East Texas to Wisconsin. Leading the crew begins with a clear plan, ensuring that construction execution stays on track. Oversight of production pace is essential while coordinating travel logistics, lodging, per diem, and equipment transport. Quality inspections are conducted regularly to prepare for structural and building code compliance. Daily production reporting is managed for effective off-site tracking. Operating and maintaining equipment is part of the routine, along with planning for materials, parts, and consumables. Knowledge checks are administered, and cross-training is implemented to keep the team sharp. Documentation is kept tight to satisfy the general contractor's site requirements. Informed decisions are made during travel-based projects, and communication with office management ensures expense approvals. Consistent productivity and professionalism are upheld within the team. REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME OUR TRAVEL TEAM LEAD - TRAVEL WELDER • 12-15 years of hands-on welding experience • Valid driver's license and insurable • A commitment to time management, coordination of teams, planning, and completing projects on time • Possess a high regard for quality • Attention to detail skills • Willing to recertify • Ability to travel 10-30 days at a time • Ability to travel east of Texas to Wisconsin, but willing to travel all over the US • Ability to pass a welding test (within four full working weeks of hire), employee is responsible for the cost of the test (reimbursement for passing the test is available), transport of the test, and turning in the test form to World Testing, Inc (70 E Hill St, Mt.
