We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can confidently own client relationships, and loves pitching stories that land. In this role, you’ll run day-to-day client accounts while also spending time crafting smart, timely pitches and building relationships with reporters. You’ll translate complex technical ideas into compelling narratives, guide clients with confidence, and help shape how innovative companies show up in the media. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts • Lead client calls, share clear status updates, and manage expectations proactively • Oversee timelines, priorities, deliverables and reporting across multiple accounts • Anticipate client needs and opportunities rather than reacting to requests • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s goals, audiences, and success metrics • Track relevant media beats, reporters, outlets, and emerging trends • Identify timely hooks and story angles aligned with current media cycles • Draft and pitch tailored media outreach, including thoughtful follow-ups • Write high-quality content, such as bylines, press releases, award submissions, and briefing materials • Balance day-to-day account management with consistent, effective media pitching Qualifications • 5–8+ years of experience in public relations or communications, ideally within an agency environment • Strong media landscape fluency, particularly with tech and business media • Existing relationships with technology or trade reporters • Proven experience in pitching and securing coverage • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging content grounded in technical concepts • Comfort translating complex ideas into accessible, compelling stories • Experience working with cybersecurity, developer, and/or infrastructure vendors • Highly organized with strong attention to detail • Confident communicator who can lead client conversations independently Nice to Have • Experience working with fast-growing or venture-backed companies • Familiarity with analyst relations, speaking submissions and award programs • Interest in staying ahead of emerging technology and media trends Why This Role Matters This is a high-impact role at a growing agency where your work directly shapes client success.
